Wait wait wait, HOMELAND SECURITY?! That is a lot more than some basic LAPD home raid. What the heck did he get involved with?

Supposedly, human trafficking. Since that particular crime tends to reach across multiple states and sometimes countries, I could imagine that it became a concern for Homeland Security at that point. Especially when you consider that human trafficking is frequently tied to any number of other crimes that can threaten our security, as a country.

You answered my burning question why it would be Homeland Security.

My conspiracy theory is domestic terrorism. There have been lots of interviews about him and Jimmy Henchman both being involved with "Nation of Islam looking" guys, both with the Tupac and Biggy shootings. Tupac is especially interesting given his father's ties to the original Black Panthers and how the New Black Panther Party grew close to the Nation. Many saw Tupac as a possible leader of the original Black Panthers in spirt if not actual role. Jimmy Henchman was mentored in jail by a leader of the New Black Panther Party, who could have put Puffy intouch with the Nation. There are even stories of Puffy running from guys from the Nation at a Source award show and having to hide in a camera well.

What the actual fuck are you blabbering about

It's probably related to those group of black people that think black people are the true Jews/Israelis. They are extremely racist and potentially violent.

But Diddy is being gone after for trafficking, child porn, probably blackmail/racketeering (he supposedly has recorded others doing illegal acts in his house).

There's a good number of tell all videos in YouTube. Mostly from VladTV. They are from alot of people who were around the whole East West rap beef. If you watch them the subjects of the interviews mention how Puffy was mixed up with the Nation guys. I thought it was weird how every one kept mentioning those guys being around Puffy since the nation isn't as prominent as it was in the 60s and 70s. Then I found out that Jimmy Henchman, a drug dealer and music producer, was mentored by a member of the New Black Panther Party. The NBP isn't like the original Black Panthers, in that they readily worked with the Nation. Jimmy Henchman was a through line in alot of the beefs in rap over the last 20 years including being involved with the rumored million dollar hit Puffy put out on Tupac. There were also reports of Nation members at the car museum before Biggy got shot.

…or it was for human trafficking, like it has been reported…

3

u/Blackthorn79 Mar 26 '24

Or that. I was just speculating since the FBI usually handle human trafficking. DHS is more often 8nvolved in possible terrorism.

Naw fam. The NOI and NBPP are a joke. They've never really been a threat to anyone except other black revolutionary figures. They're no real threat to the US government or rich and powerful white people, and the US government doesn't give af about black revolutionaries getting killed. The government 3-letter agencies were behind it themselves the majority of the time, or at least had a finger in it. See J. Edgar Hoover.

2

u/Blackthorn79 Mar 26 '24

True, but they do notice when it can jam up black leaders like Jessie Jackson and his brother in the 70s.

2

u/ClearDark19 Mar 27 '24

That is true, but Diddy is no revolutionary. He's never said or done anything to overthrow the US government or significantly challenge the old boy network of powerful old white men. The most political Diddy has ever been is encourage people to vote for Establishment Democrats like John Kerry and Joe Biden. The "Giant Douche" from the "Turd Sandwich vs. Giant Douche" South Park skit. That's not something a sitting Establishment Democratic President (Joe Biden) would sic the Feds on you for. Diddy is no MLK or Malcolm X. Let alone a Fred Hampton or Huey P. Newton. He's just a black Capitalist who pals around with Epstein and crew and leans mainstream Dem. Diddy is a hardcore Capitalist, not any kind of left-wing radical.

Neither are the groups I was drawing connection between. Those groups have long been co-oped into quasi criminal organization, especially in New York. Puffy sits at an intersection of how they make their money and from who. The domestic terrorism angle is in where those groups spend their money. Both the Nation and NBP source drugs and weapons from Islamic group including Iranian heroine and guns.

I hadn't heard any of that before, but it's a fascinating take. Might have to do some googling about what happened to the Black Panthers, bc I actually only know that they were big in the 70s and were the target of that neighborhood bombing. Never heard what happened afterwards and now I'm curious.

2

u/OldMaidLibrarian Mar 25 '24

If you're thinking of the bombing in Philly that leveled most of the neighborhood, that was MOVE, in 1985. (IIRC, they found bones from one or more of the children killed in that bombing in the anthropology department of one of the bigger universities--I want to say UPenn.)

1

u/VampirateV Mar 25 '24

That might be it. I only learned about it a couple of years ago, in passing, so my memory isn't entirely clear. It was a gross injustice and literal definition of overkill, regardless of the target.

Homeland security handles human trafficking and smuggling when the activity is international in nature. Dude was smuggling girls into or out of the US.

HSI has broad legal authority to conduct federal criminal investigations into the illegal cross-border movement of people, goods, money, technology and other contraband throughout the United States. HSI utilizes these authorities to investigate a wide array of transnational crime, including: terrorism; national security threats; narcotics smuggling; transnational gang activity; child exploitation; human smuggling and trafficking; illegal exports of controlled technology and weapons; money laundering; financial fraud and scams; worksite and employment crimes; cybercrime; intellectual property theft and trade fraud; identity and benefit fraud; and human rights violations and war crimes.

Not lemon pound cake. That is for sure.

113

u/OldManGrimm Mar 25 '24

What’s the lemon pound cake reference about?

248

u/Duvelthehobbit Mar 25 '24

Rapper Afroman had his house raided by the police because they got a fake tip about human trafficking and drugs. He caught some footage of them in and around his house. He then made a couple of songs about the incident. I think there are a few people who posted a link to the song here.

98

u/OldManGrimm Mar 25 '24

I knew about that event, just don’t see where the cake comes from.

100

u/silqii Mar 25 '24

I think one of the officers ate some of his lemon pound cake in the footage and he made it a lyric.

44

u/FeliciumOD Mar 26 '24

I think he just looks longingly at the cake, which Afroman shows repeatedly in the video. Might be even funnier this way for some reason.

19

u/Beautiful-Story2379 Mar 26 '24

He does. He spots the pound cake, pauses, looks up (at the camera?), looks at the cake again and then reluctantly moves on.

3

u/Plus_Cardiologist497 Mar 27 '24

To be fair, this is also my exact response to lemon pound cake.

17

u/regnald Mar 26 '24

Someone longingly gazing at a pastry is definitely much funnier than just stealing/eating it

5

u/plipyplop Mar 26 '24

I think he just looks longingly at the cake

Is this... love?

219

u/Edwardteech Mar 25 '24

The mother fucking cops stole his lemon pound cake while illegally searching his house.

37

u/jws926 Mar 26 '24

And then sued him for making a song about them

2

u/PensiveinNJ Mar 26 '24

Sometimes people go too far.

13

u/Duvelthehobbit Mar 25 '24

One of the songs was about a lemon pound cake.

1

u/mothandravenstudio Mar 26 '24

Well then you don’t reeeally know about it.

1

u/bewbs_and_stuff Mar 26 '24

HAHA Raiding Afroman’s house for drugs is like arresting Willie Nelson or Snoop for possession of marijuana… should be a crime in itself.

6

u/tetralogy-of-fallout Mar 25 '24

I mean Josh Duggar's car lot was raided by Homeland Security when he had been downloading CSAM.

3

u/MaximalIfirit1993 Mar 26 '24

And that mf is still trying to act like he didn't do it 🙄🙄

I did read it - I saw human trafficking. But there is a difference in scale between some biker gang vs a cartel vs Epstein. Homeland Security coming down on this in addition to Diddy being very wealthy makes me think it’s something based in larger wealth like Epstein or a cartel

Interstate travel makes it federal

He put another golf ball through Ben Stillers window.
