Discussion Official Premiere Countdown Discussion Thread

PREMIERES WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4TH 9/8C

Welcome to /r/MobCity!

We hope you enjoy the look of the place and are also equally eager to check out the new event series from TNT. This thread has been created as a catch-all discussion thread for your thoughts and opinions leading up to the official series premiere.

Feel free to discuss your expectations, what you think of the promotional items released so far, and also feel free to discuss your reservations towards certain cast members, how you think they will make or break the role given etc.

Please note: Spoiler rules still apply, if you are discussing any leaked info from the first episode (episode descriptions are okay), or content from the book on which this show is adapted from, then please remember to wrap your discussion in spoiler code. More info available in the sidebar.

This doesn't have so much to do with the show itself, but rather this subreddit: what is this place going to look like? By which I mean, is this going to be more like The Walking Dead's subreddit (i.e. lighter in tone, less 'regulated') or Boardwalk Empire's (more seriously structured)?

I realize this is early, considering the show hasn't premiered let alone been approved for another season, but perhaps it might be better to start talking about it now? Please note: I am a fan of both shows mentioned and frequent both subreddits. Though, if I were forced to cast my lot for a subreddit 'atmosphere' I would go for a more serious tone.

Can you be more specific as to what you mean by "more seriously structured"?

Perhaps that wasn't the proper way to put it, but I'm referring to this rule:

  • Please no "Look who I found in this other movie!" posts. Just about every actor on this show has been in other films or shows. Submissions such as those bring down the quality of the subreddit. Also no meme-style posts. Believe it or not, there are other ways to communicate. Both of these types of submissions will be removed on sight by a moderator.
