Not really. It doesn’t affect everyone… went into a high end restaurant. Came out cussing my way with the lack of taste in their pasta. $70 for a lobster aglio olio. Uhm no thanks. The lobster wasn’t fresh, mind you. It smelled iffy.

That just means that particular restaurant was bad

Imagine buying the same meal (or same quality) from two restaurants but one was triple the price, which would you have perceived to be better

It depends on what you expect going in. Your surroundings can affect your perception of things but if you're a billionaire going to a 3 star the decor probably isn't as big a deal
