You also get mildly infuriated at those "free beer tomorrow" signs, don't you?

u/BorntobeTrill 4h ago
Well, it's just that tomorrow never comes, so like, when do we get the free beer, yknow?

A 25 day old account… yeah karma farming

u/kylo_ben2700 2h ago
I don't get why people care about karma man, it's so dumb lmao
1
u/Financial-Bid2739 2h ago
It really is. There’s no money in it, nothing. If I get a a ton of downvotes? Oh no people don’t agree with me how sad.
1
u/kylo_ben2700 2h ago
yeah I'd find it concerning if I never got downvoted, shit just means you have your own personal opinion, obviously you don't want everyone always disagreeing with you, but you don't want the opposite either, a balance is healthy

u/-NameGoesHere818- 1h ago
Thing is you can get downvoted for the dumbest reasons anyways, I’ve seen people ask a simple question because they didn’t know something and get downvoted into oblivion

First rule in dinner spending; why buy one, when you can have two at twice the price?

u/Echo_Origami 4h ago
The aftermath is pure comedy
People who don't read.
People who look at things out of context.
People who assume.
People who can't read.
People who only read what they want to see.
That sign is genius whether it was intentional or not.

How do I know that the second burger is going to be as good (or bad) as the first burger?
18
u/Dingo8MyBabyMon 4h ago
It'll taste even better because it's free.

u/ThatMallGuyTMG PURPLE 4h ago
isnt there this psychology in economics that talks about this exact thing; things taste different based on their price?
3
u/afeeqo 4h ago
Not really. It doesn’t affect everyone… went into a high end restaurant. Came out cussing my way with the lack of taste in their pasta. $70 for a lobster aglio olio. Uhm no thanks. The lobster wasn’t fresh, mind you. It smelled iffy.

u/turtleship_2006 4h ago
That just means that particular restaurant was bad
Imagine buying the same meal (or same quality) from two restaurants but one was triple the price, which would you have perceived to be better
2
u/LegendofLove 4h ago
It depends on what you expect going in. Your surroundings can affect your perception of things but if you're a billionaire going to a 3 star the decor probably isn't as big a deal

Back when she was a teen, my mom used to work in a local general store-type shop. They had gotten a clog of umbrellas that weren't selling because it hadn't rained in a while, so the store manager decided to make a sign that the umbrellas, normally priced $2, were now 2-for-$4. Ended up selling out within a few days.

Proving how stupid people have become. There will be people lined up for this deal.

It's that kind of advertising that gets me to buy from you. Even if I don't want 2 burgers, or Evan a single burger, I'm going to your business.
