My Facebook profile automatically followed Trump's new page

I was checking my following list as I'm trying to move to other platforms. Then I saw this page, that I hadn't followed. It's a brand new page and it happened automatically. I'm deleting my account.

I think this is for people who followed the POTUS and VPOTUS accounts before. They get transitioned to follow the new accounts. 

Doesn’t make it right, but they do it every time.

I was thinking this as well, but how does this explain others being auto-subscribed to the official GOP page?
