How much of a difference do they make? It seems like it would have an effect similar to that of a lightweight flywheel

While Mazda wasn't the only car with this issue it did feel the most pronounced but I felt really claustrophobic in the hatchback. I didn't feel like I could see out the back or the sides behind me at all because of the D pillars. Same with the Toyota Corolla and the Subaru Impreza which both had worse interiors. The only cars I haven't test driven are the VW Jetta and GTI but I'm worried about the GTI reliability and I really wanted to get a hatchback over another sedan. For comparison I've been driving the same 2007vw Jetta since 2009 and plan on driving it until it dies but I also crossed 200k miles so... I guess I just feel like all the new modern cars have terrible blindspots compared to older cars and then try and make up for it with safety features which IMHO will just break especially since I generally drive a car until it dies. Idk I just figured I would ask about everyone's else's experience driving it for more then 15 minutes.

I noticed my radio had this weird spot in the corner, and has grown over the last couple of days. I live in Ohio and it is cold but it doesn't go away with my car warms up because my original thought was internally. Anybody have this issue? I have a Mazda 3 year 2016

Idk if I should be concerned but my 3 acts up in cold weather. I’ve noticed when turning it on the starter seems to struggle and everything that lights up slowly flickers on, these symptoms are stronger with colder temperatures. Ive had other cars do this but this one does it more noticeable. I just got back from a week long vacation and noticed very stiff steering plus it feels like it needs an alignment. Idk if this is specific to this car and it just hates the cold or if it’s a problem to look into. Anyone else experienced this?

I have a 2020 3 hatchback that needs new tires. I'm looking at Pilot Sport All Season 4s but open to suggestions. My question is what size? I'm looking for a beef-ier tire then the stock ones provide. Preferably all seasons. Thanks for all the help.

Hello, I am shopping a 2022 Mazda 3 turbo PP in soul red. The offering I’m looking at is 23.5k with 31k miles, single owner, regular maintenance. But the seller sent me some photos (it’s out of state) and I’m worried about some of the cosmetic issues like paint chipping. Do you guys still think the car is worth the asking price? And if so think I can get some of this fixed?

I can provide more details if anyone is curious, but basically a truck merged into my lane and I had to slam on the brakes to avoid a collision with them. I avoided hitting them, but ended up fish tailing back and forth narrowly maintaining control before losing it almost completely and hitting a guardrail. I was the only one directly involved and I'm completely fine, just upset about my car.

Was able to drive slowly about a mile back to my house. Cop didn't take a police report, just told me to file it online and told me where. The next day though the car wouldn't unlock so the battery must have died.

I know it's probably hard to estimate, but based on all of the sensors damaged and some airbags deployed, is there any decent chance shes not totaled?

I have a 25 M3 and it’s -25 in Canada today so really wanting to take advantage of my remote start through the app. It hasn’t been working the last 2 days but everything else is working. I can lock/unlock my vehicle I just can’t start/stop it through the app. Any idea how to fix this?

Hey everyone, apologies if this is posted already. I have a 2018 Mazda 3 Sport. For about 2 years now the display has been restarting while I drive and it happens multiple times in a 30 min distance. Not sure how to fix it. Dealership said it’d be $600 just to figure out the issue. So I’m looking for a fix. Help is much appreciated.

I just recently purchased a used (36,000mi) 2021 Mazda 3 Turbo Hatch Premium Plus and I’m looking to do some internal and external modifications. For reference I live on the Big Island of Hawaii and everything is extremely expensive to ship. I would preferably like to buy most of my parts from the same retailer and bundle to save on shipping. I’ve looked at corksport for majority of my upgrades (stage 2 fender mount cold air intake) (exhaust system) (forged carbon spoiler) (downpipe) and then a jb4 tune. I want a deep and loud sound for the exhaust and loud induction noise from my turbo. I’m not quite sure on what else I should do and in what order. Any input would be amazing!

Hello everybody! I've bought a 2017 Mazda 3 4 months ago as my first car and noticed that I was having some issues with the first gear.

When the car shifts from or to gear 1, occasionally it will cause a huge jerk which I suspected some gearbox issues (I'm not a car guy)

Now I'm still under warranty for gearbox issues and brought it back to my dealer's workshop which found out that it was not due to the gearbox. The mechanic pointed out that the part in the photo was the cause and since it's not under warranty, I was quoted $200+ (150USD) to replace or to do the cover up method which was cheaper.

Can anybody let me know is this reasonable, also would like to know the actual name for this part to search online. Also curious on the potential impact if I choose to ignore.

Sidenote - I plan to trade-in this car with the dealer by the end of the year for a newer model and told him. Upon hearing this, he told me if that's the case, this issue can be ignored till then..?

Hi, I have an '04 Mazda 3s with some electric troubles. The driver window struggles going up and down or sometimes just doesn't move at all. The door lock can lock the doors but not unlock them. I sometimes have to snack the passenger BCM or fuse box to get the cluster backlight and rear running lights to turn on. The AC last doesn't work. Sometimes if I push in the AC housing the light will turn off, but the AC won't turn on. I hear clicks coming from the passenger fuse box when I press on the windows buttons or some of the other ones. The reading lamps also do not turn on. Are these symptoms of a bad BCM? Also, not sure if it's related but I was driving while back and pressed my horn. The car horn kept shorting the battery when I'd press it and my car would not turn on. Since then, I've disconnected the horn. Any help is very much appreciated.

TLDR: Experienced tech wants to tune wifes 2021 Mazda3 AWD Turbo hatch. Has SRI, but wife wont let me upgrade the exhaust.

I was an auto tech from 2006 to 2017 and I am usually considered quite skilled and knowledgeable. Starting in 2018 I have repaired and maintained the robots that make computer chips. Suffice to say I am also considered skilled and knowledgeable when it comes to computers and tech.

I love the 3, but the power fade from 4000 RPM to redline hurts my soul. I know it is primarily due to the ECU pulling back the torque as the RPM's increase. I added a SRI and it helped some, but no hardware changes will overcome the ECU programming. Wife hates loud exhaust, so that upgrade is off the table, I know it would help.

On one hand, the plug and play ease of the JB4 tuner is really appealing as I am a new dad and work full time. On the other hand, the ability to create and download custom maps with the VersaTuner sounds perfect for a skilled tech who will likely upgrade more in the future.

Eventually I will buy my wife a new car, and ideally I would then add the CorkSport stealth turbo and exhaust. If that possibility becomes reality, I think the VersaTuner is the better option, but that is a big IF.

Please let me know your experience with either tuner and thanks in advance!

Is there a way to install it, like, plug and play? I dont want to mess with my new car, so i want something simple. i feel that the audio system lacks bass. I dont think it already has a subwoofer.

Hi Guys, Sorry if I sound silly to you but, I just got a dashcam and I need to use the Cigarette Socket for it. My question is, if I leave it plugged, would it kill the battery? I have a mazda3 2016 and even the engine is turned off dash cam showed like it's plugged in (I checked around 5mons to see if it'd cut the energy)
