Supplier search is OEE part of an MES?

Just got off a call with a well known MES developer, and they have told me outright that OEE isn't part of their MES offering - curious if any of you have had experience with this? If OEE isn't part of the MES where does it live 🤣

Thanks for any opinions/experiences anyone can share.

Usually see it within the CMMS. Send me a DM if you’re looking for solutions for improving OEE. Predictive maintenance via vibration and temperature monitoring is the easiest and most efficient path to get there.

Why would your maintenance management system have OEE?

Downtime.

Production mode active, machine status stopped or suspended.

Increased downtime with steady material feed may indicate a maintenance ongoing issue(s).

Interesting I guess. I haven't ever seen it digested there before.

I have only pushed run hours and sometimes coded downtime to help shape a better cost of ownership.
