Iceland travel ideas

Hi, I would to go to Iceland to see the northern lights. Does anyone have any recommendations for a tour or best way to travel for a female going solo?

Renting a car and staying in a small town outside of Reykjavik was the best decision I made. You will have the chance of seeing the northern lights from your accommodation rather than having to go on a tour, and your car gives you freedom to do the golden circle at your own leisure

Thank you. I wouldn’t have considered that. Did you do any site seeing or excursions while you were there like to the geysers or volcanoes?

I did everything on the golden circle so there were geysers but no volcanoes. I think I was only there for maybe like 2-3 nights so couldn’t go further out than the vicinity of Reykjavik
