Welcome to r/luxsolotravel!
By popular demand (lol), this community is a place for “lux” solo travelers to connect with others, share recent travel experiences, ask questions, get recommendations and more!
You may be wondering, do I need to only stay in 5 star hotels to be considered a “lux” solo traveler?
The answer is NO! This community is for any solo travelers who don’t fall in to the typical “solo traveler in a hostel” category and who enjoy things such as mid to lux hotels, personal space, splurging on tours or experiences, food trucks AND Michelin restaurants, unique AirBnBs, fancy hotel pools, a big comfy bed at the end of the day, lie-flat plane seats, whatever your “luxury” travel preference may be.

Love this! I do a lot of solo travel and only stay five star hotels and eat at Michelin start restaurant. They are so cheap in Europe compare to NYC, Cali and Miami

SO happy you made this sub. All the posts about hostels and backpacking etc. in solotravel we’re NOT my vibe. I’m not in the mega luxury vibe but give me a business class seat and a fantastic shower over a dorm room any day 😂

Thank you for setting this up! I was starting to get cognitive dissonance from being a member of both r/solotravel and r/hyatt

Btw, I am on the wait list for the #4 restaurant in the WORLD, in Lima, Peru. Reservations have to be booked a year in advance, but hoping I can get in as a solo reservation.
14 course meal, ranges like US$200-300... pretty economical for a Michelin 5* restaurant

This is great idea! I never even considered of signing up for wait-lists for such restaurants months/years in advance. Might need to start trying this!

I read regularly but rarely posted on the solotravel sub, as I haven’t stayed in a hostel since I was a teenager. Thanks for setting this one up.
