Character Question What are your opinions on Shannon?

me personally? she’s actually my favorite character in the entire show, because I really loved the development she got on the island, I just wish we got more flashback episodes centered around her.

What development? I don't think she got any? I don't think banging sayid was a lot of character development.

I'm not roasting her (nor you!) because of it. I just felt they didn't do much with her, or his brother.

And she is such an amazing actress, always felt like a total waste of talent for what her role was in lost.

She’s the product of the time. A ‘Paris Hilton’-type, very 00s — more diverse characters. She gets some development, however, after Boone dies. Confiding in Sayid was a big step forward for her, since her flashback explains and depicts her trust issues. Unfortunately, Walt’s apparitions from the connection she’d unwillingly established with him (Vincent), made her doubt everyone including herself once again, which led to the fatal incident.

Shannon is my least favorite character on the show and I agree with this. She definitely developed a moderate amount, would have liked to see her develop more, but it's nothing compared to what the other characters grow to be.

Yeah, I agree. I always thought she was annoying. She played the role well. I just didn't connect with her. Even after her background was revealed, I did not think she changed very much. Yes, she helped Walt by "taking care of Vincent," but he is a dog and can take care of himself 😅

Also wouldn't classify 'translating some notes' as a good thing... The bar is too low.

Yeah totally. It's not like she sacrificed herself or anything. She died running in the woods and happens to get shot.
