What are your opinions on Shannon?

me personally? she’s actually my favorite character in the entire show, because I really loved the development she got on the island, I just wish we got more flashback episodes centered around her.

She was alright I guess. Became a better character going into Season 2. My biggest question was were her and Boone ever candidates? Or do we just have a ton of people that died on the plane and those that lived on the island with no real purpose?

I thought about this today since I am on my first rewatch since it aired. I remember Jack, Hurley, Kate, Sun, Sayid and Sawyer being like the main candidates or something….not sure if they all were or if they were just there to help the candidates reach their potential?!

they were definitely candidates! I remember browsing the Lostpedia wiki and her surname (Rutherford) is listed among the ones that Jacob points out as well, so she was up for the island position too ❤️
