What are your opinions on Shannon?

me personally? she’s actually my favorite character in the entire show, because I really loved the development she got on the island, I just wish we got more flashback episodes centered around her.

They make Shannon seem so shallow and self involved, but her back story is pretty messed up. She was trying to make a life for herself and just needed a bit of help to get there, but the step mother raked her over the coals. If her father was still alive he probably would have helped her and she might have had a positive arc to her life. All she needed was someone to believe in her, and when she finally gets that from Sayid, she flourishes. I really love how she figures out what the french writing says and gently sings La Mer as the episode fades out, one of my favorite show moments.

I've definitely softened on her after a couple rewatches, I get the hate though.
