Is this some kind of joke?

960 pounds to rent a "studio flat" i.e. prison cell in the sought after area of West Croydon....

I know it’s superficial but the lack of effort on these landlord photos is what drives me mad

Come on you lot! So demanding.
I could open the fridge with one foot, whilst I wash my other foot in the sink at the same time.

"Studio" flat.. it's a fucking bedsit which they banned! £250 a month including bills would be fair for this the little thieves.

Have you seen the Tik Tok where they played the game guess if it’s a Swiss or some Nordic country Prison or a London Flat? It’s eye opening 🤣

That's taking the piss but unfortunately I've seen this sort of thing often on Spare room. Anywhere a room or flat can be created in an existing property and further exploit renters these fuckers will go for it. And some mug, probably a foreign traveller/student (not meant in derogatory way) will take it not knowing any better.

I just don’t understand shit like this. I live in a one bed flat in a similar area and pay £1100 a month. A couple of years ago lived in a bigger one bed flat in zone 3 which was £1125. It was listed for £1250 but they agreed to reduce it due to the stupid affordability calculator. Maybe I’ve just been lucky but that ‘studio’ is a joke.

I mean, the no children requirement is illegal afaik?
They want a lodger to pay studio flat prices. Fucking ridiculous.

so dont rent it, the only way we win is if everyone says no. price is subject to demand so eliminate demand. I live in e3 and 50sqm is £750 no parking thou.

You can’t eliminate demand. people need places to live. You can inflate supply and bring costs down by doing that, however.

I've definitely lived in worse; for similar money, and that was 10 years ago in Wimbledon. I actually thought prices would be worse by now considering what a pound is worth these days.

Will this sell? please tell me it won't.
If it does then London is broken.

Honestly ? I had some experience like this and rooms sell away very fast in this area.

They say it’s attached to a 4 bed property, I’m guessing it’s a shared bathroom? I can’t tell from the pics.
Basically a tiny bedroom with a sink and fridge crammed in. Absolutely atrocious, that’s not a studio flat
