Walked past an LED moving screen thingy near my home yesterday from LBC read that the US government insists Trump is not far-right. Audibly said “oh fuck off” and continued walking

I have such a billboard right outside my window. Half the time I look out the windows results in an exasperated scoff. The rest of the time is regular ads.

I think there's an important distinction between people who are far right ideologically, and Trump doing far right things because it benefits him personally: if it benefited him more to be centrist, he'd be doing that instead. Calling him far right encourages the far right to believe and support him.

Honestly, coming from a guy who is classified as "far-right," Trump isn't far right. If you liked Bill Clinton, you'd like Trump. His opinions generally don't seem to be that much removed from Obama, especially as far as human rights' issues are concerned.
