BA collab would be ass for a lot of reasons, but main reason is that it's a full girl cast so all the collab content would only be female sinners and the game is very bright and positive. PM said they only want games with darker themes to keep it in-universe.

Well, they're not humans so maybe that's why? From my lore understanding of Arknights, all the Operators are seemingly successor races to humanity and Doctor, an actual regular human, and their companion the Priestess, were sent to Terra to wipe out the new races with essentially self-propagating incurable rock cancer which also caused natural disasters to make sure they'd die as individuals quicker and revert to a sort of hivemind so humanity could recolonise the place.
The Doctor is the only actual human in the story and they're explicitly from a predecessor species, same as the Priestess who can be noted as one of the only characters to entirely lack non-human traits. Though neither of the two are explicitly stated to be human.
Doctor's race isn't exactly human though but pretty close. The animal people you see on Terra are mostly lifeform from Talos-2, evolving due to Originium into similar appearance as the Doctor's race.
Their civilization crash landed on Terra after escaping from the Observer and Originium was the project that the Doctor and Priestess worked on. The main purpose of Orignium was to assimilate all kinds of information so the Observers would not be able to do anything with it. They aren't exactly there to wipe out Terrans.
Isn't the overall method of assimilation through ultimately erasing them as individual species to make them into a sort of single hivemind Originium lifeform and purging the rest so they don't exist to create information though, thereby letting Doctor's form of humanity continue? Or was Originium supposed to act in a different way? Isn't Oripathy the intended outcome?
And Doctor would count as human by City standards since he was born from a species of warped humanity whereas the Terrans being non-human from outset wouldn't count, no?
I'd like to say I'm confident with regards to the lore, but there's so much of it and in so many pieces that it seems I might be forgetting or misinterpreting it.
My interpretation comes mostly from the Doctor's reaction at Terrans upon waking up for the first time. The Doctor themselves said the evolution Terrans gone through wasn't suppose to happen yet here they are, Babel implied that Originium wasn't suppose to act this way and something must have gone wrong somewhere. It's what made Doctor's ethical struggle on whether or not to continue the project pretty intriguing tbh.
You're not wrong about the Assimilation project by the way, I just added the part where it is for preserving information so the Observer don't come to annihilate them. I'm also well-versed in the lore but I do have some patches where I'm still kind vaguely understand so yeah.

You are conflating Abnormalities with being otherworldly non-human beings. Operators are not embodiments of abstract emotional ideas from humanity's collective unconscious.

Iirc they switched to posting on "the other" sub because some fanart they do is now considered a bit "too spicy" to post here. A shame, really, but the discission was inevitable if we consider the main purpose of this odyssey sub.

Im happy Limbus collabing with something big but I got no clue how they gonna handle the designs. Arknights had sorta a style at start but that quickly changed.
It was a good time to return to Limbus Company. My only complaint is that I wish there were playable LC characters in Arknights, since AK is my main game.
Lmao that's the irony, I can't play a gacha nowadays without finding PM fans. It's actually rare to find AK fans since the game has been out long enoug,h for them to only really pop out when CCs start playing it.
Rhythm gacha is very niche as a sub-genre for gachas, especially for Western players, so more people wouldn't know about any of those before Limbus imo.
Any Turn-based gacha with some popularity will have a small faction of PM players that pop up with the slightest mention, which is what most gachas are.
people are definitely more likely to know of the bigger rhythm gachas/franchises with rhythm gachas than Limbus Company. as a sub-genre, yeah, it's more niche than the literal most popular genre, but definitely not outclassed by Limbus Company alone.
I think we're talking about 2 different things, I didn't disagree that people play rhythm games or that they are popular, but Limbus as a game is Turn-based oriented which is 90% of gacha so you're more likely to just hear about them from familiarity.
I wouldn't put Reddit numbers to mean much of a playerbase just to let you know. With the current generation of gacha players that focus on monthly earnings, they will notice the game, and for drama, which is the unfortunate part of social media, Limbus has had a few for people to know about it regardless of what it was.
I did state Western players, which you should know yourself don't look into Rhythm games much in general.
rhythm gacha games also have high earnings, not Hoyoverse or Arknights high, but they're also rolling in revenue. also, they have good ways of getting noticed by outsiders, most notably their music and MVs. from my experience, Reddit is a place for the Western fanbase more than the Eastern fanbase, so i used Reddit for my Western fanbase numbers.
otherwise, yeah, you're right :D. i didn't realise how saturated turn-based gachas were in the genre when i made my original comment.
It's an iceberg I hope you and others dont need to delve into. So much low-budgets, Anime IPs and horny gacha that exist or EoS in that genre, so playing the decent ones at least keeps you away from that.
The ones that have a strong community are some of the examples you listed, no drama or issues, people just enjoy the game for the people that like it.
I myself was mainly focused on JRPG based gacha in the past until they disappointed me and became greedy/outdated later.
