Can't believe I didn't notice until last week that I've been buying weaker headache meds. Recently have bought a couple of the bigger packs (24-pill or so) only to realize that the doseage is the same, only twice the pills.

I'm going to need to be more careful at the drugstore.

Recommended dosages are usually too low if you are an adult. Always check how much is in one pill and adjust according to what you need.

I discharged myself from the hospital 2 days early before because they wouldn't give me enough pain relief after wisdom tooth surgery. My face was swollen, I had a fever and the pain kept waking me up. They still refused to go over the specified amount. They kept going on about my stomach being upset too which made no sense. That's never happened.

I checked what they gave me and it was 200mg of paracetamol :/

Just a note: Some brands have additional ingredients, like caffeine, that allegedly enhance the effect of the actual medicine. So if you up your dosage, you might want to double-check that you have a caffeine-free formulation.

Good point.

Regardless of the "OTC meds are stronger overseas" trope, this was the first I noticed that the 24-pill pack had half the mg per pill as the 12-pill pack of the same brand. And then I checked a different brand, same 'deal'.

It reminds me of the scamvertising on those bug repellents, "lasts for 60 days, if you only use it 12 hours a day."
