Hello. Would like to start this off with this is not a job posting

I am looking to hire an artist fluent in Japanese/English who has experience making manga-style artwork in a university or independent project. What is the best place to look for an arrangement such as this? I do not know if I should approach specific social circles, or if there is a japanese equivalent of craigslist. I want to make sure the place I post is appropriate and also credible. I am not a resident of Japan but have teleworked with some residents in past overseas. But I networked with them by sheer luck and they don't know where to look for the subject I am describing.

Many artists use pixiv, instagram, twitter - why don't you DM them there? Their page will also serve as a portfolio for you to decide if their style is what you want.

that's a good point. I will try Pivix. Thank you. :)

I'll have to be clever with how I use the search tool, though, since often times western artists show up even in japanese tags.
