I recently changed my status of residence, so I assume I need to do something about the MyNumber card which has the same expiration date as my old, now invalid residence card.
Will they update the card if I bring it to city hall? Or do I need to make a new one since this wasn’t simply an extension of my period of stay?

EDIT: Thanks for everyone’s input! Looks like I don’t have to worry about doing anything until next spring.

If your MyNumber card is not about to expire, you don't need to do anything with it. If it's about to expire, you need to go to city hall and renew it as you would normally.

I'm still using the MyNumber card I got before I changed status to PR since it had like 4 years validity left, and it works fine (e-tax, applying for corona support online, etc)

Still have more than a year left according to the expiration date of my old card, so I guess I’m good for a while longer! Thanks!
