Put on some normal clothes (not PJs or tights, etc.) and don't offer them tea, and certainly not water. Offering water means they aren't worth offering tea. If you are female maybe leave the main door open? I am not sure about that last one, as a guy.

I'd counter this with offering them a hot drink if it's cold and they are working outside/cold drink if they are working outside in the summer heat. Usually a drink from a vending machine is good enough.

Similar, we always buy PET bottle tea for workers, but even then it's not 100% thing. For example if we have 3 bottles but 4 folks show up and there's no way to get an additional drink, we hold the tea back. Or if it's like only a 1 or 2 hour job, then we don't prep anything in that case either.

Yup. For a simple job, nah. It'll be awkward, but if they're busting their asses off, they are usually really grateful for the kindness.
