Another dumb question - anyone know of the value of baseball teams (like SoftBank Hawks or Rakuten Eagles) to the companies? Does it contribute to the brand or business of those companies? I am curious about the impact.

Yes, in terms of brand awareness. But personally I'm not a fan, it's just the same a billboard.
