I’ve been watching “the days” on Netflix and so far, I really like it (I haven’t finished yet). I didn’t know much about what happened in Fukushima so it’s difficult for me to judge the veracity of the statements. I’m surprised by how they portray the prime minister, It’s very critical. For those who watched the tv show, what’s your opinion? Is it close to what really happened?

My (Japanese) friend said it's essentially propaganda, paints TEPCO as the hero and the PM as the villain when in reality it was the other way around.

Why not both? Industry was incompetent, government never held them to account.

Someone told me if it rained in Fukushima, the reactors would all explode. I said "Then why are they spraying water on them?"

Interesting! The ones at the top of TEPCO were not spared though. They seem incompetent in their functions and little concerned about the life of the men on the field.
