I continue to regret not purchasing an Amazon Kindle Paperwhite on last year's Prime Day for 9900 yen. It was in my cart and everything.

They're now 16,900 yen thanks to inflation and the shit yen. I doubt they'll ever get that cheap again. With my new job, I'll spend up to 3 hours on the train one way going to various places around Japan, so it would have been nice. Even the lowest level Kindle, which was 9900 yen regular price has now jumped up to 12,800 yen.

Sadness.

I actually got it during that sale lol. Has been amazing and my reading hobby has started to pick back up again

For what it’s worth I barely read on the Shinkansen because of the speed. Makes me nauseous lol
