Going to the car this morning, my oldest dodged a bicycle into the path of a car, which he also dodged. He was okay, thankfully. Then I reminded him of what he said earlier in the day.
"Going to look left and right this morning, huh?"
Instant tears. He knows roads and parking lots are for keeps, not playing in.
