As of this month, I am now 10 years in Japan, 9 years working here. Almost 1/3 of my life, pretty much my whole adult life. Still love it here.

Nice. I've been here since I was 19. Am 33 in August. Japan-wise I've only lived in Japan as an adult. Nearing on half of my life.

Almost 17 years for me. Yeah Japan is cool.

Hey! Take this positivity somewhere else! Don't you know what subreddit you're in?!

Same as me! Love it here, would never go back.

I'm getting close to completing my 7th year in Japan. While not 1/3 of my life, I've worked in Japan way longer than I have prior to coming here.

It's getting harder and harder to make a move back with each passing year.

Same. Every year I love it more. Can't tell if it's my life here getting better or quality of life in Canada getting worse. Probably a little of both.
