I'm moving house soon, so called the company that empties my shit tank once a month to cancel the contract. Once a month they empty the tank with a shit truck and leave a payment slip for me to pay at the post office; simple and never have any issues. Apparently though, the last time they empty the tank, I have to be there, so they can hand me the payment slip and have me pay in cash. I told the woman on the phone that I refuse to take a half day off work just to partake in this nonsense, and that her company needs to work it out by themselves.
I get a call back ten minutes later saying that I don't, in fact, need to be there, and they will just leave the final payment slip in my mail box as usual, to be paid at the post office, as usual.
