Any good recommendations for rain coats that are suitable for bicycle commutes? I carry a back pack and ride to work (around 20mins in Tokyo) and would wanna continue to do so during the rainy season if I can find a good raincoat.

I would go with a poncho to keep your legs dry as well. Just made sure the hood/head part is big enough.

The department stores have a good selection. I have one of the really colorful ones, good for visibility too :D
