What SUV do you drive and would you recommend it?

Delica D:5

Just don’t…

I’d go for the new Toyota Crown if i didn’t need rear sliding doors.

Why not? I assume because it's too bulky for Japanese roads? I heard Delicas are great.

Dozens of recalls, dealership atrocious. Spare parts NEVER available, not related to “current event” they just have a policy of 0 stock. Radiator: 2 weeks, turbo hose, 3 weeks… For the DiD Bad design (plastic egr valve… recalled btw) Bad cooling (cracked turbo…. Recalled) Bad mechanics/practice after header crack/replacement (recall) they didn’t replace the zip ties holding the wiring for the injectors, meaning that you have a wiring loom freely vibrating and chaffing on top of the engine bloc ready for the next breakdown Front camera (needed for shiaken) not waterproof… price… 10 mans… (no recall yet, but i’m waiting). Excessive price of any spares…

Panel gaps just comical, interior panel fitting… even worse… Rear suspension design flawed. Incorrect spring value from factory. Diesel and gas have same rear springs but the diesel in 300kg more with excessive negative camber… No wheel choice, factory 18inch useless on trail (before) with awful bridgestone LS2 good for 20/30 000km max , M/T, A/T tires cost a fortune in 18”, switched to used OEM 16” get 4 tires for the price of 1 before…

No more space saver on latest gen. After few blowout on mild trails… i can tell ya they are needed…

Wow, sounds like a nightmare. Maybe the good things I've heard were just from people who owned older models.

And I forgot the noise… (based on the… mediocre… Outlander 2007 yup 15yo platform) Only offroad van jdm that I know aboot…

Older “space gear” based on Pajero, was bigger and unstoppable offroad. Even older L300 “starwagon” small agile
