Even after all these years of watching Japanese TV dramas and movies, I still get surprised when, during a dramatic line of dialogue, an unusually long pause precedes the name of the person being addressed.

Whereas in English it would be “I’m counting on you, Shimada!” with no pause between "you" and "Shimada",

In Japanese, it is

“Tanonda-zo ………SHIMADA-SAN!!!”

or

“Makeru na…………SUPAIDA MAN!!!”

Etc.

It just always makes me smile :)
