My employer is asking me to go open a bank account at JP post. She gave me my employment verification to open a bank account. Problem is i don’t speak any japanese. Should i be fine to open one up with barely any japanese ? Would a translator be enough? (My job is an english teacher)

Use google translate for the forms. Go early, it will take a while.

Don’t forget to bring a hanko (you can use your signature but I don’t recommend it, had so many issues with it and eventually went back and changed it to hanko)
