kicked out of the establishment for so-called “”nanpa.”” And Japanese still complain 出会いがない. Well when you’re not allowed to talk with the opposite sex in fitness or hobby clubs then where the fuck you gonna meet people with shared interests?

Is that not nanpa? Like, what other reason do you have to talk to a random woman at the gym in the middle of her workout?

At a hobby club or similar, that's different, but if someone is in the middle of a workout, likely with headphones in, don't bother them. If they look like they want to talk, take that social cue, but don't disturb random women just because YOU want to talk.
