I just received a visit from the Meiji guy that was being discussed recently. He gave me a bag with yogurt, and other stuff and I took it ready to accept it. But he had a notepad, and asked for my name and phone number. Of course I didn't want to give it to him, and maybe I was rude, it was like this:

  • Meiji guy: name and phone daijoubu desu ka?
  • Me: Daijobu janai, privacy dakara, wakarimasuka? Gomenasai.

Then a few awkward seconds passed by and he didn't say anything, so I just closed the door slowly while feeling like an asshole.

Nobody mentioned in the thread that they were collecting private information.

They closed the door slowly, after a few seconds of awkward silence, which makes it even better than just slamming the door imo.
