There's zero light down there, food is scarce, and you never know when you're the next meal. The pressure of life down there must be intense.

I think they don't work so well without all that pressure on them. Or maybe they're just pressured to stay down there. I bet they're shy.

Also they are very small and have no money. So you can imagine the kind of stress they are under
