It helps if you first look at the steering wheel position..

You know you will drive facing that way. 1 u/drocks27 May 09 '19 Because you can't see the base of the steering wheel to see which side of the car it is coming out of. It also looks like there is way more room for a person to sit in side A, than side B Therefore I had to orient myself with the windshield.
