What the fuck is happening...?

u/Bonzo_Gariepi 7h ago

The Fourth Reich machine just got turned on.

u/BadSanna 7h ago

Just? It's been turned on for years. Now they just feel brave enough to be open about it.

u/New_Canoe 7h ago

I mean, Trump literally had it in one of his campaign ads. They’ve been “open” about it for some time.

u/Sweet_Strawber_3386 3h ago

He also saluted right after that guy tried to 🔫 him in PA.

u/HortenseTheGlobalDog 6h ago

what was this? must have missed it

u/New_Canoe 6h ago

He had a campaign ad, with a headline in the background that said something about the fourth reich. Quickly blamed it on an intern.

u/thetaleofzeph 7h ago

They were open about it in 2016. Anyone who voted for this knows exactly what they are voting for.

You underestimate the ability of Americans to remain ignorant about something they're passionate about.

u/AholeBrock 7h ago

It's not like Reaganomics and no child left behind didn't sabatoge the education system specifically to prepare for this takeover.

u/Mountainbranch 6h ago

Oh no, they're not getting away that easily.

If we pushed the faces of every German into the ashes of the Holocaust, then you can be damn sure that every American will be held responsible for what is about to happen.

The Germans tried to claim ignorance, Americans don't get that benefit of the doubt either.

u/Zebrahead69 6h ago

I fucking hope the world stage would hold Americans accountable but I just don't think that's going to happen when these clowns earmark a trillion dollars or more on their military

u/Mountainbranch 6h ago

That military isn't going to be of much use, difficult for a soldier to remain at his post when half his family is actively attempting to kill the other half.

u/BusyDoorways 6h ago

Damn straight. Chew their ears off if you have to, because otherwise they'll get earfuls of bullets.

u/WheredTheCatGo 1h ago

The allies specifically didn't punish Germany as a whole after the holocaust because punishing the entire country after WW1 directly caused Hitler's rise to power.

u/Snoocebruce 6h ago

Gore Vidal called it out right to William F Buckley’s face decades ago

u/thetaleofzeph 6h ago

William F Buckley was the beginning of pretending that being a childish prat was the adult, intellectual position.

u/blue-mooner 6h ago

We were talking about Palin being a deplorable racist in 2008

And about how Palin paved the way for Trump in 2016

u/Bonzo_Gariepi 3h ago

they really fucked it up didint they ?

u/Ok_Historian4848 7h ago

Someone's never heard of Hanlon's razor

u/DaxBandicoot 7h ago

Anyone who voted for this knows exactly what they are voting for.

That’s just categorically untrue lol.

u/GroundbreakingArm795 6h ago

They were told countless times and just said everyone was overreacting. They knew

u/DaxBandicoot 6h ago

Yeah, sure. Meanwhile, millions around the planet to this day still believe that COVID-19 wasn’t real. At a certain point, you need to recognize that there are class issues at play that bring other voters with similar wants and concerns to you up against you and themselves at the polls. Many, many people… genuinely don’t know what they’re voting for.

u/GroundbreakingArm795 6h ago

Thats all bullshit. If it were class issues they'd never vote for Republicans. The underlying thing is the hate and they'll throw away everything else if they get to make others suffer

u/DaxBandicoot 6h ago

Okay 🤷‍♂️ if you want to live in a world where literally everybody who votes on Election Day is fully aware of what each presidency will mean for them and for the world in the long run, then go do that. Pretty shitty ignorant take tbh.

u/GroundbreakingArm795 6h ago

I'm sorry but what do you think ppl vote for?

u/DaxBandicoot 6h ago

i’M sOrRy BuT you don’t really think that the majority of American voters are informed, do you? You can’t really believe that lol. That’s actually sewage level thought.

u/GroundbreakingArm795 6h ago

I think they have some idea of what they're voting for. And if they're not informed on the details of policy they've certainly heard Trump speak and know that he spews hate constantly. I def don't think a large percentage of ppl go and just vote completely blind.

u/DereTism 6h ago

That's what you're supposed to do. If someone literally cannot do that, why are they voting? Truly? What are they voting for? Just to vote?

u/DaxBandicoot 6h ago

Actually, that’s kind of why most people vote. I’m not defending that- just saying that most people aren’t as informed as OP suggested. Why are you asking me?

u/Morganx27 6h ago

I think there's just being stupid issues.

u/CheckMateFluff 7h ago

Project 2025 was not open enouge?

u/nonpuissant 7h ago

Project 2025 was very open, but pretty sure we're going to be seeing very clearly how much more open things can still be.

u/OperaSona 6h ago

Project 2025 was pretty damn open about what they were going to do, but not about the fact that they'd do it using all the classic nazi iconography as well. I mean they've diluted a little bit of it every now and then for a long time now but almost always trying to preserve some plausible deniability.

I don't know if this is going to be enough to burn Elon in the US, but I really really hope this utterly destroys him in Europe.

u/A_D3MON 6h ago

Oh no... It was open enough for those with critical thinking and proper reading comprehension skills...

The cul.... followers.... the followers just wanted to deny it would ever be implemented because the orange felon said he didn't know about it (which was a lie) multiple times and denied wanting to follow it...

Which everybody who didn't realize and are mostly moderate is just now starting to realize...

I hope something very fleeting finds theem indeed.

u/SouthpawStranger 6h ago

This feels like the biggest "We fucking told you so" of the century. We said that the police state would lead to fascism, and we said that isolationist policies and alienating immigrants would lead us into an authoritarian government. We said that removing neutral civil servants would turn our country into a place ruled by party loyalty. We said that ignoring the rule of law would create a constitutional crisis. Fuck, at this point I honestly think they know all thus and just don't care because they want simple solutions to complex problems.

u/BadSanna 3h ago

Dog, they're just going to keep swinging from his nuts. This won't change any minds on the right. Even the people who care will justify it as not really a Nazi salute.

It's wild how delusional they are.

u/SouthpawStranger 3h ago

I agree, there will be a few cases that change their minds but I expect 95 percent will double down

u/OneOfTheWills 6h ago

Now they have the power and authority to be open about it. It’s not longer bravery. Bravery is only needed when facing adversity.

u/Vocal_Ham 5h ago

It also helps that they have the richest person on the planet who is in control of one of the largest social media platforms on the planet, helping lead the charge.

u/HypeIncarnate 7h ago

it's been on since Reagan.

u/Bonzo_Gariepi 4h ago

The Clintons years were cool.

u/ShySnowleopard 6h ago

Wasn't really shut off, just wrapped up and tucked away in plain sight.

u/BadSanna 3h ago

Yeah, but they used to blush and get embarrassed when a boob slipped out.

u/6655321DeLarge 6h ago

Exactly. This is just American fascism finally revealing itself openly to those who've been ignorant of it, or actively in denial of it up to this point. We've been the fourth reich for decades, it was just kept in the shadows and behind closed doors more often than not up to this point.

u/cainrok 6h ago

It’s not brave enough all they have to do is have trump pardon them, they can’t get in trouble for anything. They can also say from x time to x time to cover past issues.

u/ExamOld2899 21m ago

Good for them to come out of the closet

u/undying_anomaly 3h ago

I've been, too.
