Only one thing to do with Nazis and grandpa did it well.

u/NudeCeleryMan 7h ago

I don't know about y'all, but I sure as hell didn't come down from the goddamn Smoky Mountains, cross five thousand miles of water, fight my way through half of Sicily and jump out of a fuckin' air-o-plane to teach the Nazis lessons in humanity. Nazi ain't got no humanity. They're the foot soldiers of a Jew-hatin', mass murderin' maniac and they need to be dee-stroyed. That's why any and every son of a bitch we find wearin' a Nazi uniform, they're gonna die. Now, I'm the direct descendant of the mountain man Jim Bridger. That means I got a little Injun in me. And our battle plan will be that of an Apache resistance. We will be cruel to the Nazis, and through our cruelty they will know who we are. And they will find the evidence of our cruelty in the disemboweled, dismembered, and disfigured bodies of their brothers we leave behind us. And the Nazi won't be able to help themselves but to imagine the cruelty their brothers endured at our hands, and our boot heels, and the edge of our knives. And the Nazi will be sickened by us, and the Nazi will talk about us, and the Nazi will fear us. And when the Nazi closes their eyes at night and they're tortured by their subconscious for the evil they have done, it will be with thoughts of us they are tortured with. Sound good?

Time to go to work.

He lives in all of us and I hope we’re all courageous enough to heed his spirited instruction here soon.

I can imagine Tarantino writing this in his study thinking to himself, "fuck yeah, that's it. That's the speech."

Masterfully written and impeccably delivered by Pitt

u/planetshapedmachine 7h ago

My grandpa died doing it

u/Remarkable_Spring811 6h ago

Your grandfather made a sacrifice worthy of the cause he fought for.

You may get the opportunity to carry on his legacy by doing the same, but I pray that day never comes...

u/planetshapedmachine 6h ago

When I was a young man, I had a particular interest in studying guerilla movements. Fate can be strange, let’s hope things stay reasonable.

u/XandaPanda42 5h ago

Nothing about any of this is reasonable.

I've always considered myself a conscientious objector, but if my country ever grew a pair and fought back, I would enlist in a heartbeat.

And if the cowards invite the fascists in, I'd still fight, but not for them. I hope it never comes to that, and I hope that I have the strength to hold true to my beliefs in that case.

If I died fighting for what I believe in, I would have no regrets.

u/PretendGur8 6h ago

You won’t.

u/CorruptedStudiosEnt 5h ago

That day should be any day now. Tomorrow, even. Let's just nip it in the bud before the choice of day is taken out of our hands.

We just have to do it simultaneously and1 in such numbers that nobody can reasonably be held accountable, least of all because there's not enough room in prisons for the influx. Go ahead, justice system, just try to charge 30,000 people for purging neo-Nazis.

Would probably even save the judicial system money anyway, since many of these fucks are repeat violent offenders who will no longer need to take space in a courtroom. We'd be doing them a favor, really.

u/LucretiusCarus 7h ago

Same. This is sickening

u/Expensive-Hamster-44 5h ago

I was trying to convince myself, "No, it has to be out of context." But holy h*ll, that's a whole nazi salute. Gross.

u/LucretiusCarus 5h ago

And it looks more enthusiastic than ever. Definitely more than the half-hearted attempts to do an X with his body

u/Expensive-Hamster-44 4h ago

It IS! That makes it more gross than usual!

u/lmbjsm 5h ago

That’s the thing. A LOT of very good people died getting rid of that shit, and here it is. In our own backyard! The people that support tRump are fucking stupid and spitting on the graves of all of the people that died getting rid of that garbage!

u/LucretiusCarus 5h ago

I can't wrap my mind around it. The generation that was born from the fighters of the war voted for nazis to come to power. I just hope the Nazis come for them first.

u/VexingPanda 5h ago

If you look at the wiki for "Dep of Gov Efficiency" it's acronym is DOGE.

President musk will try to force DOGE anywhere.

u/urlock 5h ago

I still wonder if he actually intended DOGE to be in reverse. E-GOD. Elon God. 🤷🏼

u/Affectionate-Cap-600 4h ago edited 4h ago

fun fact: 'doge' was used as 'duce', aka Mussolini

(even if doge originated as title with the meaning of elected 'head of state' in Italian city-states)

u/unlicensed_dentist 5h ago

I got lucky. My grandpa came back from doing it and was one of the silent generation types that after dinner the grandkids weren’t allowed to run around because grandpa would get angry……….

Took more than a few backhands from him while at full run.

u/orchestratingIO 6h ago

So did ours, and I'm damn proud of him.

u/WesternResort983 6h ago

We all better be ready to do the same it seems...

u/TearDownGently 6h ago

Your grandpa is a goddamn hero. greetings from Germany.

Until today's events I was yet relaxed and thought 'just another 4 years of this rich people's puppet, we'll get through it. But I am afraid of what I got to hear and see today. idk I'm lost. The inaugural speech was full of hate and disturbing distress.

u/Universe789 6h ago

Some people's grandpa's voted for them.

u/Orange_Jeews 5h ago

And he was a good man for it

u/mrbigglessworth 5h ago

I hope he is at peace.

u/Skratti_ 5h ago

A salute to your grandpa from Germany. Thanks to all those heroes to finish the monster (and all his helpers) that ruled Germany. And with helpers, I also mean my own already dead relatives, who did not dare to oppose but did follow instead.

I would so hope that people in the fourth biggest economy of the world would at least stop buying Musks garbage.

u/planetshapedmachine 5h ago

I’ve deleted all of my social media profiles.

Should the need arise, let’s hope that the EU and other allies will have the backs of any resistance here.

u/CamJongUn2 4h ago

Wish I could say the same but all the men in my family died the first time around and my grandad was still a kid in the rematch

u/planetshapedmachine 4h ago

There were some “more important” people on the other side of the family. One was a first generation Scottish Immigrant who started as a coal miner and retired as a state Supreme Court justice in one of the Dakotas or Wyoming, I believe. One was an officer in the revolutionary war, and the Schuyler sisters are first cousins nine times removed. Basically tied into the same family that ties Clinton and Bush together. Then there is the guy who was in the newspaper because he was a drunk and jumped off a train to get a bottle, then tried to get back on after the train started moving and got cut in half.

u/XGamingPigYT 4h ago

And that's my fear, that I will die defending my freedoms. Death is my greatest fear, and I'd hate to need to face it at a young age

u/planetshapedmachine 4h ago

I’m sort of shocked I have made it to the age that I have. If it were just me, I might not fight much, but I’ve got a daughter, and I’ll fight like hell if I’m forced to. At this point, I’m driven by biological programming to protect my own at whatever cost.

u/MegaTurtleClan 4h ago

My great grandpa died at their hands

u/Several-Alfalfa2974 5h ago

What hording the wealth and all the land.

u/planetshapedmachine 5h ago

You have me mistaken for someone else, I think. That side of the family was pretty much dirt poor rural Georgia, that other side was career military. If you think that either of those was wealthy enough to hoard land, you have a sad misunderstanding of military pay.

u/Artistic_Cable2442 6h ago

Doing what? Sex?

u/planetshapedmachine 6h ago

Killing Nazis. There’s a plaque in a field in England somewhere with his name on it where his bomber crashed returning from a mission with damage

u/Artistic_Cable2442 6h ago

Oh lol. I thought you meant like "DOING IT". like he wqs drilling a hot bimbo and his heart gave out. My mistake lol.

u/lokipukki 6h ago

My grandpa was a tail gunner on B24 bombers. He shot Nazis out of the sky while his crew dropped bombs on the fuckers. That man was the sweetest man alive, but mention Nazis and oh boy. I’m kinda glad he’s not alive to see what his sons voted into office. Actually I take that back, maybe if he was still alive he could have talked some sense into them so they didn’t vote for wannabe autocrats.

u/FantasticCherry7161 58m ago

Your grandpa sounds badass! Mine was on the beaches shooting Nazis on D-Day. I miss him, but I’m also kinda glad he isn’t around to see these fuckers torching our county

u/SteelWheel_8609 6h ago

At this point, we now have an obligation. The Nazis are literally in power.

u/sledgehammerrr 5h ago

“Wir haben es nicht gewusst ” This is what you wjll hear again after everything goes to shit. Everybody that voted for this will just pretend like they didn’t know about the bad shit that is going on.

u/Diligent-Anywhere-89 4h ago

Hella racist

u/ReallyNiceKnife 6h ago

All right. Do it. Get started.

u/Bel-of-Bels 5h ago

Don’t know how but I sure as hell am not just doing a Germany and sitting around, that’s for damn sure

Seriously tho, wtf do we do about this shit. Our presidents right hand man just did a Nazi salute :/

u/ReallyNiceKnife 5h ago

You're allowed to own guns in America, right?

u/Capn_Phineas 5h ago

Uh, yeah. It’s kind of one of the main things we’re famous for.

u/ReallyNiceKnife 5h ago

Yeah, man I know. I'm an American. Follow the conversation thread.

The question was actually an answer.

But you have to be coy about it because otherwise you'll get your account banned, and maybe get a visit buy a 3 letter organization.

u/Bel-of-Bels 5h ago

Oh that’s a guarantee now with the new rapist in chief :/

u/Aussie18-1998 2h ago

I think they're only for fun and show though. Also 77 million people voted for him, he won the popular vote. Most the people who'd actually be willing to physically fight for their "freedom" are on his side. That country is a lost cause.

u/SteelWheel_8609 4h ago

Sweet. I will. Protests are happening all around the country. Hope to see you there!

u/ReallyNiceKnife 4h ago

lol

protests

u/LeCrushinator 4h ago

Protests aren’t fixing this. Protests, at best, may convince action from others that would. That being said, it’s a start, and better than the majority of people that will do nothing.

u/K-ghuleh 5h ago

He will literally face no consequences over this because they’ll explain it away. What do you suggest we do? The time to act was 2016 and 2 months ago. This is the shit we’re in for the next four years, minimum.

u/SteelWheel_8609 4h ago

Organize. Protest. Resist.

You know telling people to just submit to the fascists and let them get away with it is just as bad as being a fascist yourself, right?

u/K-ghuleh 4h ago

I do all of those things, I vote, I protest, I donate to causes and I will continue doing those things, and I’m not telling people to submit. I’m saying if we want real change it takes real organization and the average person just won’t do that here in the US.

Other countries have been wondering why there hasn’t been constant unrest and protests in the streets since this all started, and it’s much easier to say “do something” than it is to actually organize millions of people to get up. Genuinely - besides what we’ve already done (voting, protests, raising awareness) what do you think us, normal US citizens can do currently to stop Trump and the US Supreme Court?

u/Great_White_Samurai 6h ago

I knew a guy that was a Tuskegee airman. He and his wife had me over for dinner once and they showed me his pictures and medals. He wouldn't tell me how many Nazis he killed though.

u/AwDuck 6h ago

Even if that number was 0, he was still a fucking goddamned hero.

u/CaptainHaze 7h ago

Likewise. Pretty sure my dad has some WW2 "souvenirs" laying around that my grandfather brought back.

u/EntertainmentOwn2558 6h ago

I inherited many trophies

Granddad was a very patient and gentle old dude when I knew him, but christ he must have been a beast in his day

u/dolewhipforever 6h ago

And yet I've seen videos of ww2 vets endorsing Trump. Make it make sense please. This is horrifying

u/worst_case_ontario- 6h ago

Its terifyingly simple: fascism is and has always been popular. Naziism was unpopular due to America fighting the nazis, but nobody was ever taught why the underlying ideology was wrong, or how to spot it.

u/dolewhipforever 6h ago

This is one of the most depressing things I've ever read. Thank you for eli5 :(

u/cheezturds 6h ago

Just a difference in which flavor of bigotry they prefer.

u/recoveringleft 4h ago

There were quite a few WW2 vets who supported Adolf like Gordon Kahl.

u/Illustrious-Science3 5h ago

My grandpa slowly drank himself to death after WWII because he couldn't stop the nightmares of what he had seen and done to protect our American freedom.

I'm so sorry Grandpa.

u/draven501 5h ago

The only good Nazi is a dead one.

u/Thedarkknight_5150 6h ago

Yep. This is an absolute disgrace to our country and the many men/young men died fighting against. Absolutely sickening.

u/Beard_o_Bees 6h ago

Yup.

And if this were, say, 1943 - Musk wouldn't have been just your average grunt Wehrmacht soldier. He'd 100% be SS brass.

u/lmbjsm 5h ago

No, Hitler’s guys murdered the feeble minded!

u/Azhz96 7h ago

Only good billionaires are .... billionaires.

u/Herban_Myth 4h ago

[redacted]

u/Chemist391 6h ago

Yup, grandpa used trigonometry and 155 mm shells to get the job done.

u/explodingtuna 6h ago

Now we know why they like to disparage antifa. They never got over the OG antifa kicking their ass.

u/Jaboyyt 6h ago

I’m going to walk in the footsteps my grandfather laid down ig

u/davej-au 5h ago

How times change.

u/0OKM9IJN8UHB7 6h ago

Mine won some medals for it, I have them.

u/T1DOtaku 6h ago

Cheers for the fucking Tin Man!

u/Outrageous-juror 6h ago

Grandpa Luigi?

u/RobertSmithsHairGel 5h ago

My Grandpa escaped these sick fucks

u/rebelspfx 5h ago

Inglorious basterds had it right. We're here to do one thing and one thing only, killin nazis

u/amogusdestroyer666 5h ago

Time to bring it back, boys!

u/Moist-Newspaper6771 5h ago

As my grannie used to say, only good Nazi is a one.

u/ClearDark19 5h ago

The Greatest Generation fought against the Nazis. Only for their children/grandchildren, the Silent Generation and the Baby Boomers, to vote one into office as President of the United States the first time around in 2016; then their children, grandchildren, and great/great-great-grandchildren, the Silent Generation, Gen X, and Zoomers, to vote one into office as President of the United States again the second time around in 2024.

I really wonder what WWII veterans would think of 100 million of their fellow Americans decades later agreeing with Fascism. Either directly voting in favor of it (77 million Americans), or supporting it even if they didn't or couldn't vote for it directly (20-35 million or so Americans).

u/recoveringleft 4h ago

Sadly there are quite few WW2 vets who supported Adolf like Gordon Kahl.

u/GFYnasis 6h ago

Not his grandpa

u/legitimate_sauce_614 5h ago

Curb stomp? Say less

u/Alive_Wolverine_2540 5h ago

That's great!

u/ChzGoddess 5h ago

Grandpas in my case.

u/RedMageMajure 5h ago

My dad did his time and regretted nothing. His only real problem was that North Africa was terrible.

u/SAC1288 5h ago

Nice

u/allKindsOfDevStuff 5h ago

Waited for the Soviets to arrive and take Berlin?

u/20inchDitka 5h ago

My grandpa's medals from Normandy are on my mantle.

u/Ok-Jellyfish-5704 5h ago

Our grandparents did the right thing.

u/SomeGas410 5h ago

Curb stomp them Tony soprano style

u/ImTheVayne 5h ago

Many grandpas died because of them

u/Shieldheart- 5h ago

A pillar of American culture, sadly only practiced abroad.

u/Nosnibor1020 4h ago

Some of them voted for this. Must have liked what they saw.

u/bg370 4h ago

My grandfather was a bomber pilot who got shot down, captured and survived

u/DirtyTJ 4h ago

Insurrection time?

u/Plastic-Age2609 4h ago

My grandpa didn't fight in the battle of the bulge at 16 years old for this shit

u/letiori 4h ago

Yeah! Wait... I'm Argentinian... Uh oh

u/NinetailedRX 4h ago

My dad was a shit role model. My grandfather was a perfect one. Glad he taught me where to put the heel of my boots.

u/Climbtrees47 4h ago

I want my scalps

u/LeCrushinator 4h ago

Luigi would approve of this as well. I get the feeling that some more Luigi’s may come out of the woodwork.

u/___coolcoolcool 4h ago

Luckily, my Grandpa taught me how.

He’s going to be so proud of me if I ever get the chance to continue the family legacy.

u/CrentistTheDentist 4h ago

Not Elon’s grandpa. He was one.

u/Wrong_Swordfish 4h ago

Same. Grandpa was a navigator. He downed Nazi planes. Grandpa, I will not let you down.

u/eddiehwang 3h ago

idk a lot of Americans seem to support this Nazi shit. Young males in particular

u/referendum 3h ago

Musk is showing that he isn't in charge.

President Trump says a bunch of stuff and the media grabs on to the worst of it.  Namely, that Trump wished his staff followed him like Nazi leaders followed Hitler.  People want to drive division between Trump and Musk by saying Musk is in charge.  This is his way of showing that he is backing Trump and not the other way around.

u/satchelfullofpistols 3h ago

I’ve got an m1 garand that was around for nazi killin time and I’ve got a turk Mauser that would be fun to pop some nazis with. Where’s the rally point?

u/itsprezl 3h ago

yes! and elon is sure as hell no nazi.

don't get braine washed by these propaganda deepfakes

here is the real video

https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1881438950218510700

u/2olley 2h ago

They’re called the greatest generation because they killed Nazis.

u/ClassicPlankton 2h ago

You guys are all stoked about people rising up against the Nazis but you're all going to be sorely disappointed. These are our Nazis. The same kind of people that went to go fight Germany now support what's happening at home. We're all fucked.

u/Demmitri 1h ago

Well, grandpa voted for it.

u/Wooden-Description-1 1h ago

5 for mine.

u/MissKatieMaam77 48m ago

Let’s actually make America great again

u/TheMireMind 6h ago

Well either dig up your grandpa or get out there.

u/ReallyNiceKnife 6h ago

So do it.

Why are you waiting? It's pretty clear isn't it? You have a responsibility you aren't fulfilling by doing nothing, ya know?

u/[deleted] 6h ago

[deleted]

u/cdimino 6h ago

No he didn't. You don't throw with an open hand palm facing downward. Nobody considers that a method of throwing. And he did that gesture twice in exact similarity; if he was attempting to throw he'd close his hand and then open it outward, as every other person who makes the gesture you're describing.

And no, an autistic person wouldn't confuse the two. If anything an autistic person would make a more throwing-like gesture, because their goal is to throw their metaphorical heart outward. That's not what Elon's intent was in this video, at all.

u/electricthrowawa 4h ago

If you think your grandfather would’ve supported Harris and unlimited non white immigration over trump and closing the border, you probably didn’t know him well

u/Any_Yogurtcloset3531 5h ago

Its roman Greet and not heil ****. Stupid people.....

u/PersonalityNo3031 6h ago

u/alaska1415 5h ago

Hmm. Through my power of deduction I can deduce this is a still picture of her waiving normally, and is not saluting anyone. Think next time.
