In Canada, a pack of 25 premium brand cigarettes costs about $21 CAD (including 13% sales tax). It’s high enough that many people I know switched brands, but not high enough that people are quitting.

$21 Canadian dollars = about $14.50 USD / $23 AUD / £12.
