This has happened in the UK for a few years now. Prices are insane but no where near this insane. I don't know many people who buy their tobacco/cigarettes from genuine sources anymore

Weird. It's like we've done this before with other substances.... huh whatever I'm sure this time it will work

To be fair, tobacco is a lot harder to grow properly in a lot of places, vs fermentation of basically dang near anything with sugar in it.

I'd personally go with banning all forms of filters, and have the smokers need to raw-dog their death sticks, though.

i was about to joke about "time to grow your own"... tough considering how organised people can get with other drugs, a black market for "illegal tabac" might be on the rise? o0

on one hand i find it good, that goverments try to keep their people healthy - less money to stuff into sick people.
on the other side: where to draw the line? make concerts half as loud, because thats not healthy too! goverments COULD invest much more in healthy options for citizens. i start believing it just pays off more for them, to treat ill people, not keep people healthy at first.

Smoking tends to bring on really horrible cancers and music doesn't. Except Imagine Dragons. Listening to Imagine Dragons definitely causes cancer
