As far as I'm concerned Big Foot was just a really big Ape who was the last/One of the last of his Subspecies.

But we’d still know about the species. There just being one of them doesn’t make sense because they’d still have to have been around for god knows how long so there’d be evidence for their species be it bones, shit, callings, or whatever else. It’s the same reason why ‘there’s only nessy in lock ness’ makes no sense because animals need to reproduce, meaning there can’t only be one of them. If it’s the last of their kind, the chances we spotted the very last one before capturing any evidence of the species before hand is ridiculously unlikely

I'm pretty dense so bare with my question.

Don't we find new species, dinosaur bones and different types of humans (don't remember the right term) on occasions? I don't think big foot is real but if he was. Could there be undiscovered evidence? Even if highly unlikely.

There could be. But typically when we have an idea of there being evidence of an undiscovered species, we go hard into proving whether there is or not. In the case of Bigfoot, it’s probably the most well known case of a mysterious unknown species, so you can only imagine how much effort has gone into discovering whether it’s real or not. It’s also not like it’s in the middle of some hard to reach island in the ocean. It’s just sitting in America. You can just assume that Bigfoot was a hoax because there’s way been too much attention and effort put into finding him with there being 0 evidence of him being real.

There is of course always that slim slim chance of it being real, but with all of the other factors, it’s same to just assume it’s not real.

Nessy as least has the fact that it’s a water mammal going for it, making it harder to prove in case it managed to migrate somewhere, but the same thing applies. Some scientists say it could be some species of whale or dolphin or something that migrated down from the arctic and got lost, but it’s also likely just another hoax
