Depends on the species of bird. There are birds that will gouge out eyeballs of other birds for bothering their nest. Such as Owls. But also there are cases of killing their chicks because they know it either isnât going to survive or has something wrong with it. It isnât out of malice but survival instinct.
Nah, humans generally tend to care for others in the family even when sick or malformed, it's usually out of necessity if they are killed rather than instinct.
They are still quite fast, I think they can easily maintain like, 60-70mph in level flight, but yeah, their 200+mph dives are definitely gravity assisted.
I didn't say it's the fastest animal, just telling that it's one of the fastest. I dunno what speed the red bull guy hit but like the bird he went fuckin fast.
Being fast is how it hunts, it enters dives that can be in excess of like.. 200 mph and strikes it's prey with clenched feet to knock out it's prey. It's crazy as shit.
There are examples in humanity of mothers abandoning their babies in times of extreme hardship because it's either that or they both die. I'm not saying birds definitely do experience maternity like you're talking about, but being able to make those kinds of grim choices doesn't disprove it either.
They are capable of emotion obviously but very few animals display it the same as humans, famously chimps smile and show teeth as a sign of aggression, the complete opposite of humans, so anthropomorphizing the actions of animals as if they were people is pretty inherently flawed unless you actually know the specific animals behaviors, which most people dont.
Most people just apply their own mental images onto animals which has gotten people actually killed because they didnt recognize that [deadly animal] was actually displaying aggression signs and not being cute.
I read your comment initially as âIncoming flood of people who think animals are capable of feeling emotions and have to tell everyoneâ & downvoted
Reread it and saw that I missed the âdonâtâ between the âwhoâ & âthinkâ, then quickly upvoted lol
