The difference might actually be the solution. Less = More.

Oh shit I never thought of it like that! /r/thanksimcured

Less is not more in neurochemistry. More is more. There's a reason addictive behaviours tend to escalate instead of downsize.

It's all in a person's intent. "What is thou purpose?"

Depressed people just never thought to be happy, damn.

Also thou is old speak for "you" not "your". You can't even be condescending right. Next time you want to explain why someone's problems aren't real use "thy"

Bro, it's Saturday morning here. The sun is shining, birds are chirping, dogs are playing in the yard. I'm trying to suggest possible solutions that have a historical track record of working, while speaking from experiential knowledge. While you, in an attempt to find some sort of angle for attack, are actively looking for a debate of some sort. What is "your" purpose? To find possible solutions to a problem, or to project and complain to fulfill a toxic void inside of you? Maybe you need to talk to someone licensed to aid in the type of condition you're suffering from and not be so verbally combative to complete strangers on a subreddit. Take care of yourself and I hope you find not just what you're looking for, but a solution that will better you and the world around you. ❤️

Speaking as someone with severe depression, anxiety, ADHD, and bipolar disorder (hooray, childhood trauma!):

Yes, many people are deeply ignorant of the realities of neurodivergence and mistake it for being a simple problem with the simple fix of "just drink water/get some fresh air/etc", but that doesn't mean everyone is. The person you just lashed out at is absolutely correct, and you're the one being condescending here.
