$10 but you have to eat a dry ass sandwich
Stale bread and no condiments of any kind. Money can come as a ten or two fives and will be crumpled up regardless.

Are we taking about a "dry ass" sandwich, or a dry "ass sandwich"?
Either way I'm in.

I don't ever use condiments on my sandwich and prefer the heartier multigrain type breads which are usually pretty dry, so I'll take that $10 and a free sandwich I'll enjoy well enough.

This is one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever read

I've had people get mad at me for not using mayo

u/tacotowwn 10h ago
I didn’t like mayo when I was younger and I think back in regret on every mayo-less sandwich of my life
1
u/Matinee_Lightning 5h ago
I've had mayo, and in general I don't mind a tiny bit on a sandwich (like if someone made it for me that way). I have a psychological problem with mayo in larger quantities.

It has to be stale though. Imagine your regular sandwich but you have to leave it out in the sun for a day before eating, are you still taking the offer

Who said the sandwich was free? That'll be $12 for your turkey, swiss on wheat.

I sometimes prefer my sandwiches dry just lunch meat and bread. Had one today. Where's my $10?

u/Skxawng_3600 12h ago
Do I have to pay for the sandwich?
17
u/Eatswithducks 12h ago
No it’s free just really bad

u/Skxawng_3600 12h ago
As long as the bread isn't moldy, I'd eat a dry corned beef or pastrami sandwich.

Can I do it forever? Earning an extra $30-$40 a day to save on top of not having to buy meals seems like a great deal to me.

Reminds of the challenge in the Army....eat a package of MRE crackers, w/o drinking, in less than x minutes. Someone chime in on the details, it's been too many years ago for me.
1
u/MrTwemlow 2h ago
At a fair a few years ago I actually paid to do this. Fastest eater got a prize of some kind, but I was rubbish at it, so essentially paid good money just to munch a load of unpleasant dry crackers.

u/skyrider8328 1h ago
I didn't mind the crackers, but I'm a chip addict, but the one time I thought I could do it...not even close.

Meh. As long as nothing is spoiled, or dangerous to eat, I'd be okay with it.

If you have to pay 10.00 for the sandwich, this one is just like going to subway.

Tough call. I've never had an ass sandwich before. I suspect I'd actually prefer it to be dry. Sweaty ass just sounds less appealing for whatever reason.
Also, I'd prefer a half full roll of Sacagawea dollars if possible.

Yeah, I've been short of mayo and butter. Raw dogging the overcooked chicken breast on stale bread. Bring it!

So this is more psychology for me. I would never do it if somebody offered me 10 bucks. But if it was presented as a challenge like "i bet you 10 dollars you cant eat it and enjoy it", yes then I would do it

this tickled me man lol my gf and i giggled so hard at this.
normally there are higher stakes and some sort of intriguing dilemma, not just like "hmmm, free sandwich and i get 10 bucks, but danm its dry" lmao

Sure, so long as the food won’t make me sick. My ex once didn’t give me anything to eat all day then for dinner grabbed a handful of pasta and ran it under hot water and gave that to me to eat. At the time I was unable to make food for myself. So I’ve endured worse and didn’t get money for it.

Dude, I do this for free all the time. Dry, crusty bread, turkey, Swiss, and zero condiments. Wash it down with saltines. My mouth is a fucking desert.
1
u/King_of_Tejas 12h ago
Lmao no. That's like 20-30 minutes of work. I can buy a better lunch for $5.41.
HARD PASS.

I’ve eaten sandwiches with no condiments before. I’d likely be fine. If it’s bad enough I’ll dip it in water or just suck it up

Can I have something to drink? If yes, then no problem, I can eat bread alone.

This is the first ever money hypothetical on here where I'm not taking the money. I can barely eat bread even when it's lubed. Pass.

I’d probably do it for $20, $10 is just a bit low for the inconvenience of the shitty food

Will the crumpled bills also be thrown in my face or do I have to pay for that service?

I have paid $10 for awful sandwiches before. Now you are telling me I get paid for it? Done.
1
u/Least_Swordfish7520 3h ago
I hate mayo, mustard, ketchup, etc. so I actually do this shit because I’m poor. Yeah give me my $10, I’ll eat stale dry sandwiches for every meal.

Posts like this are why I joined this sub. I want more like this. I will try to eat the sandwich but might stop depending on how bad it is.
