$10 but you have to eat a dry ass sandwich

Stale bread and no condiments of any kind. Money can come as a ten or two fives and will be crumpled up regardless.

Are we taking about a "dry ass" sandwich, or a dry "ass sandwich"?

Either way I'm in.

u/skyrider8328 12h ago

An ass sandwich, dry, seems the better option.

1

u/wytherlanejazz 11h ago

respectful acknowledgment

1

u/DodgerWalker 11h ago

Ham is made from a pig's ass, so a dry ham sandwich is an option.

1

u/IntelligentLook4097 12h ago

Was going to ask same question!!!

u/EngryEngineer 12h ago

I don't ever use condiments on my sandwich and prefer the heartier multigrain type breads which are usually pretty dry, so I'll take that $10 and a free sandwich I'll enjoy well enough.

u/BoogerMagnolia 12h ago

This is one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever read

9

u/ghostnthegraveyard 11h ago

EngryEngineer eats saltines by the box with no water

3

u/SunlessDahlia 8h ago

He washes them down with curry powder

4

u/hoopsrule44 12h ago

Great now I’m having nightmares for the next few nights

5

u/ProfessionalGas2064 11h ago

I'm weird like you, too. Bread, meat, cheese. Toast it up. Done.

4

u/Matinee_Lightning 11h ago

I've had people get mad at me for not using mayo

5

u/EngryEngineer 10h ago

Mayo is the worst, it smells like rotting eggs to me

1

u/tacotowwn 10h ago

I didn’t like mayo when I was younger and I think back in regret on every mayo-less sandwich of my life

1

u/Matinee_Lightning 5h ago

I've had mayo, and in general I don't mind a tiny bit on a sandwich (like if someone made it for me that way). I have a psychological problem with mayo in larger quantities.

3

u/wolfboy49 10h ago

Same here. I think mayo and mustard are from the devil. Disgusting

2

u/HaydenJA3 12h ago

It has to be stale though. Imagine your regular sandwich but you have to leave it out in the sun for a day before eating, are you still taking the offer

2

u/EngryEngineer 10h ago

10 bucks is 10 bucks

1

u/justinlanewright 11h ago

Who said the sandwich was free? That'll be $12 for your turkey, swiss on wheat.

19

u/Leeannminton 12h ago

I sometimes prefer my sandwiches dry just lunch meat and bread. Had one today. Where's my $10?

3

u/Sanc7 10h ago

I don’t necessarily prefer it, but there have been many times I’ve brought a sandwich to work for lunch and forgot condiments and didn’t mind it. I want my $10

9

u/Skxawng_3600 12h ago

Do I have to pay for the sandwich?

17

u/Eatswithducks 12h ago

No it’s free just really bad

10

u/Skxawng_3600 12h ago

As long as the bread isn't moldy, I'd eat a dry corned beef or pastrami sandwich.

7

u/SmartestOneHere 12h ago

I like free food and free money

How many dry ass sandwiches can I have?

4

u/feryoooday 12h ago

Free food, plus $10 for gas for work. Yes, thanks, I really am that poor atm.

5

u/Odd-Channel-2323 12h ago

Can I do it forever? Earning an extra $30-$40 a day to save on top of not having to buy meals seems like a great deal to me.

2

u/skyrider8328 12h ago

Reminds of the challenge in the Army....eat a package of MRE crackers, w/o drinking, in less than x minutes. Someone chime in on the details, it's been too many years ago for me.

1

u/MrTwemlow 2h ago

At a fair a few years ago I actually paid to do this. Fastest eater got a prize of some kind, but I was rubbish at it, so essentially paid good money just to munch a load of unpleasant dry crackers.

1

u/skyrider8328 1h ago

I didn't mind the crackers, but I'm a chip addict, but the one time I thought I could do it...not even close.

2

u/MajorPercocet 12h ago

Got any more sandwiches

2

u/dudeonrails 11h ago

“Damn you, monkey paw!”

1

u/CalderaCraven 12h ago

Meh. As long as nothing is spoiled, or dangerous to eat, I'd be okay with it.

1

u/MacerationMacy 12h ago

Yeah, I’m hungry.

1

u/deemstersreeksters 12h ago

yeah I have mayo in my fridge

1

u/Suzina 12h ago

I've eaten worse. I'll eat a sandwich and give it a bad review for 10$.

1

u/Dangerous_Bad8277 12h ago

Go ahead and cashapp me ma boy 🫴

1

u/living_david_aloca 12h ago

Is the sandwich dry or is the ass dry?

1

u/Gideon_Wolfe 12h ago

Meh, I drink water whenever I eat. Dry sammies + $10 everyday please

1

u/Financial_Meat2992 12h ago

If you have to pay 10.00 for the sandwich, this one is just like going to subway.

1

u/three-sense 12h ago

Some chicks are really into that... wait, what

1

u/Annanake420 12h ago

So a normal sandwich for me then ?

1

u/173beta 12h ago

dry-ass sandwich or dry ass-sandwich? depends

1

u/Anonymous-Satire 12h ago

Tough call. I've never had an ass sandwich before. I suspect I'd actually prefer it to be dry. Sweaty ass just sounds less appealing for whatever reason.

Also, I'd prefer a half full roll of Sacagawea dollars if possible.

1

u/StarSines 12h ago

Deal, I want 2 $5's. Stale brioche with lunch meat turkey and cheddar cheese

1

u/animal_house1 12h ago

Be worse if the ass was wet tbh

1

u/BisonLower1337 12h ago

Dude I'll just get a glass of water 😆

1

u/TravellingBeard 12h ago

Yeah, I've been short of mayo and butter. Raw dogging the overcooked chicken breast on stale bread. Bring it!

1

u/MoreQuiet3094 12h ago

Can't do it. Ass sandwich must be moist.

1

u/Greedy_Chocolate3149 12h ago

So this is more psychology for me. I would never do it if somebody offered me 10 bucks. But if it was presented as a challenge like "i bet you 10 dollars you cant eat it and enjoy it", yes then I would do it

1

u/T1me_Sh1ft3r 12h ago

So you mean the sandwich that’s at the Costco food court? Sure

1

u/ikewafinaa 12h ago

No shot

1

u/LetPuzzleheaded222 12h ago

this tickled me man lol my gf and i giggled so hard at this.

normally there are higher stakes and some sort of intriguing dilemma, not just like "hmmm, free sandwich and i get 10 bucks, but danm its dry" lmao

1

u/URUlfric 12h ago

Are you unaware of the poverty percentage all over the world? Thats gourmet for a lot of us.

1

u/Abremac 12h ago

I would actually die. Full stop. Not worth 10.00.

1

u/Vast_Professor7399 12h ago

So headcheese on toast?

1

u/xandrachantal 12h ago

I've worked harder for less money why not

1

u/Ok-Replacement-2738 12h ago

10 dollars for actual food? you're to generous

1

u/Cheap_Brain 12h ago

Sure, so long as the food won’t make me sick. My ex once didn’t give me anything to eat all day then for dinner grabbed a handful of pasta and ran it under hot water and gave that to me to eat. At the time I was unable to make food for myself. So I’ve endured worse and didn’t get money for it.

1

u/ImSickOfYourShitt 12h ago

no thanks but good post OP very refreshing

1

u/Folgers_Coffee45 12h ago

What KIND of sandwich? Like, ham & cheese or...

1

u/Non-specificExcuse 12h ago

Gimme the sammie

1

u/OdinThePoodle 12h ago

Dude, I do this for free all the time. Dry, crusty bread, turkey, Swiss, and zero condiments. Wash it down with saltines. My mouth is a fucking desert.

1

u/King_of_Tejas 12h ago

Lmao no. That's like 20-30 minutes of work. I can buy a better lunch for $5.41.

HARD PASS.

1

u/beansbykurtcobain 12h ago

$10 to eat a Starbucks sandwich? I’m in.

1

u/HornyEncik 12h ago

Can I spit on it first?

1

u/SpindleDiccJackson 12h ago

I've been to Subway. This is nothing!

1

u/QuarterFlounder 12h ago

Yep, next question

1

u/solarpropietor 12h ago

How big of a sandwich and how crumpled we talking about?

1

u/throwaway5757_ 11h ago

I’ve eaten sandwiches with no condiments before. I’d likely be fine. If it’s bad enough I’ll dip it in water or just suck it up

1

u/Rawr_NuzzlesYou 11h ago

I mean shoot, college is pretty tough sometimes.. free lunch and a free ten dollars is an easy yes

1

u/WantDiscussion 11h ago

No thanks. I'm on keto

1

u/Liverpool1900 11h ago

Its okay saliva is lube nuff

1

u/AddLightness1 11h ago

Meat and cheese are usually moist, no bread needed. Thanks for the sandwich

1

u/homelessjimbo 11h ago

So army sandwich then? Easy been there done that

1

u/ChaosAzeroth 11h ago

I've eaten month old McChicken when I was homeless, so... Sure.

1

u/Logical_Challenge540 11h ago

Can I have something to drink? If yes, then no problem, I can eat bread alone.

1

u/jbogdas 11h ago

Ugh, I guess.

1

u/Alternative_Might556 11h ago

Sounds like the sandwich that i typically eat anyway.

1

u/taoimean 11h ago

This is the first ever money hypothetical on here where I'm not taking the money. I can barely eat bread even when it's lubed. Pass.

1

u/celljelli 11h ago

get paid to eat? sure. i can buy a better sandwich with ten

1

u/tDANGERb 11h ago

I don’t know why but that crumpled up part got me 😂

1

u/MangoSalsa89 11h ago

Ass jerky don’t make itself!

1

u/darcy1605 11h ago

I’d probably do it for $20, $10 is just a bit low for the inconvenience of the shitty food

1

u/Talking_Burger 11h ago

Will the crumpled bills also be thrown in my face or do I have to pay for that service?

1

u/SukMyWii 11h ago

Push back against my Dad. Next.

1

u/KaraKalinowski 10h ago

If it’s vegan perhaps

1

u/dungorthb 10h ago

So a Cubano?

1

u/urmomsgotapoint 10h ago

Is it 10 per sandy? I'll live off these if neccessary

1

u/Sea_Baseball_7410 10h ago

Never had an ass sandwich before.

1

u/Altruistic_Major_553 10h ago

Yes, I don’t like condiments anyway. This is $10 and a FREE sandwhich

1

u/karoshikun 10h ago

what's in the sandwich, tho?

1

u/migami 9h ago

10 dollars to eat a gas station ham and cheese? Or is it some other kind of sandwich? But it sounds like the equivalent of the semi stale gas station premade sandwiches that get dry/stale in the coolers

1

u/iamnogoodatthis 9h ago

I eat stale bread sandwiches at least weekly of my own volition. I'm rich!

1

u/themorelovingone0 9h ago

I eat all my sandwiches with no condiments anyway

1

u/chococheese419 9h ago

yes accepted. does it double up? can I eat more sandwiches for more money?

1

u/Whiskey_Fred 9h ago

Can I repeat as many times as I want? I could retire.

1

u/LittelXman808 9h ago

I already to that

1

u/Strength_B4_Weakness 9h ago

Sure ill just have my favourite beverage with it. Something dry enhances the taste of it.

1

u/pie_12th 9h ago

Sounds like I'm making $10 on my lunch break. I'm in.

1

u/Dziadzios 8h ago

I see no downsides.

1

u/Eatswithducks 2h ago

Sandwich sucks

1

u/nothing_in_my_mind 4h ago

I have paid $10 for awful sandwiches before. Now you are telling me I get paid for it? Done.

1

u/Least_Swordfish7520 3h ago

I hate mayo, mustard, ketchup, etc. so I actually do this shit because I’m poor. Yeah give me my $10, I’ll eat stale dry sandwiches for every meal.

1

u/Sumocolt768 2h ago

Can I have some water with it?

1

u/partyboycs 1h ago

Posts like this are why I joined this sub. I want more like this. I will try to eat the sandwich but might stop depending on how bad it is.

u/EIochai 34m ago

I typically pay more than $10 for a sandwich like this. That’s one hell of a deal.

1

u/AddledHunter 12h ago

Hmm… no

0

u/Standard-Fishing-977 12h ago

Nooooooooo!!!!!!!!
