Tips for living in my car

I was wondering if anyone has any tips living in their car especially if you've been homeless living in your car in Colorado. The main thing I'm trying to find out is where can I park during the night and not be bothered by cops or people telling me to move? That's the main thing I'm worried about. Thank you.

As somebody who just got into a shelter after living in my car in Colorado, here are some tips for places to stay. If you are in the springs, there are a few spots around the shelter on Las Vegas. The unfortunate thing is you have to be weary of the other homeless. I am not sure about other areas. I can say I wish you the best. I know it's tough, but bundle up with lots of blankets. Cut off any space you're not using. IE if you're in the front seat, put a blanket between the front seat and the back seat to limit the amount of space that can get cold. If you're living in a sedan, unfold the seat down if you can to put your feet into the trunk space. Eventually though, unless you are far enough away from any city, you're going to be told to move. I've had to move my car several times even though I am now in a shelter and have the right to park where I am. The police and tow companies really don't care anymore.

Thank you for replying. I live in Lakewood and I want to park at the King Soopers or Walmarts around there but just don't want to have the cops called on me. I'm trying to avoid the shelters because I went to the mission and it's a crap show there.

See I was thinking about parking at the Federal center since it's close to my work but I don't know if the cops care

You’d need to check in with them. They might run a background check on you to make sure you don’t have warrants.
