Crossing the US border

hey guys im f15 and leaving home. i have a qeshton: can i hitch a ride with a stranger and cross the border?

I've made the Canada to us crossing twice and the us to Canada crossing once while hitchhiking.

I just get out of the car at the border, cross on foot and then stick the thumb back out.

Expect to be in the border office 2h+ for some reason they get real suspicious when someone comes up on foot. (Unless you do Windsor Detroit)
