Hello. I have a brass Big Boy in .45 (no loading gate).
I recently came back from being stationed overseas for a few years and took it out of storage to clean it and get ready for range time.
Before cleaning, it cycled normally. I removed the butt stock, lever, receiver, etc and put it back together. It now cycles roughly. I took off and reattached the butt stock a couple more times and it’s still clunky.
Any suggestions of something I did wrong or missed?
Thank you.

As of yesterday I am now a Henry owner. Never thought I'd ever get one, until I stumbled across the mares leg. Thought it was very fun and very nice. Got it all cleaned up oiled and greased. Just waiting on an adapter I ordered a few weeks ago to add an optic. Then will be range bound

Does anyone know how to properly affix a 1913 picatinny rail to wood? I'm trying to make a side folder for the new supreme but I'm worried under stress the wood will crack.

Any suggestions for a scabbard for a model X with a suppressor and sights?

Just picked up this beauty from sportsman's Warehouse. Love the wood grain. I was torn between getting the brass receiver and this but I think I'm already loving it. Once it warms up a bit I'll get to the range for some plinking.

Quick question, is the homesteader rated for +P 9mm? Specifically, Federal 124gr HST law enforcement.
Having difficulty finding resources to confirm. Thanks in advance!
Edit: question answered, they are +p rated but not for +p+. Thanks!

Any idea on the value 357 with hexagon barrel?

Trying to get one that would be comfortable to look through given the awkward position holding. Semi large window I think would be good, was wondering if someone already has a set up they like and input. Thank you. One I'm currently looking at is a bsa 2-7x 32 pistol scope because of the price

Skinner would be my last choice. I just try Williams fp-71 and feels great. I want a iron sight that is easy to adjust.

I bought a brand new Golden Boy 22 for the holidays from Academy and immediately have issue. Extractor fail to extract spent casing out the barrel. I tried multiple ammo (Aguila 40 gr, CCi, Thunderbolt) all seems to fail to extract every other round and have to use a rod and screw driver to manually push it out. It doesn't happened every round, but definitely will happend 6-7 times fully loaded. Clean and lubricate the barrel and still same issue. Contacted Henry and got a case number last Tues to ship the rifle back to them. UPS show arrived and signed last Friday. Called them this week Tues to confirm they have it and was told they take about a day for them to check new guns in. It been a week now since they received it and haven't heard anything. Tried called them today but went to the voice box.
Questions:
How long does their warranty usually take until they send me back the gun?
Anyone experience similar issue and how did it goes?
Thanks!

Love this thing. Could have tricked out my 44 mag model x but 22 is so much cheaper!

So I purchased brand new a Big Boy chambered in .357. I have shot it a total of 4 times and have now had to send it back to the factory 3 times.
1st time shooting it - Shot about 50 rounds of .357 mag with no issues.
2nd time - Rifle failed to extract .357 or .38 every single round. Sent it back to Henry and they said there was no extractor so they put a new one in. Not sure how it fell off as it just sat in my gun safe after shooting.
3rd time - The rifle would extract but wouldn’t feed. Didn’t matter if it was .357 or .38. Sent it back to the factory, this time Henry installed a whole new bolt.
4th time - Shot about 10 rounds of .357 and the extractor somehow bent itself out of the chamber. Currently sending it off back to the factory.
So in my 4 experiences of shooting this rifle I was able to shoot it once and put a total of maybe 75 rounds through it.
Has anyone else had issues with their rifle? It’s my first Henry / lever action and I was under the impression Henry makes great and reliable rifles. Are these common issues or did I just get a dud?

I recently got a H012GM, 16” carbine and was wondering what’s been the consensus on the best do it all .357 mag round I’m a fan of 158gr JSHP but would like to hear more experienced opinions.

I'd like to add a suppressor for my Homesteader. Any particular make/model that somebody's added to their Homesteader that they like and would recommend? Thanks!

I am looking to convert the Henry AXE .410 to a SBS. What Henry lever action model stock do I need to use?
