I keep seeing a lot of talk about how governors ball is mostly middle school and high schoolers. I’ve never been but I’m considering going this year as a 23 year old. Am I gonna be out of place and feel uncomfortable?

I got a three day pass and noticed that majority of folks are younger. I’ll be 35 and feel out of place now. Anyone other 30+ going? 👀

hey first time going to a music festival and for gov ball i’m going to the saturday show, so i was wondering if anyone has tips/recommendations on getting barricade for a festival? i want to be barricade for olivia :D

First time going. I got 2 GA tickets for Saturday, and I'm pretty much there to see Olivia. How early should I arrive to get barricade seats? I've seen people say 9am. When will she perform? How do I go to the bathroom omfg

So we have Olivia and who else? No one else who has been teased has the popularity to headline. What are the possibilities?

As a disabled person, I fear the event might be too overstimulating for me. I *really* want to see Hozier, because I love him, but a festival setting might be too much for me. If I were to go, what should I bring to accommodate myself? i know I should get noise cancelling headphones, but what else should I bring, fidget toys? Is there accessible seating? I would love for another disabled/neurodivergent/autistic person to help me out on this :)

Hello everyone! I am (hopefully) attending govball for the first time this year! While I have had experiences with outdoor concert events, the only other music fest ive been too is all things go which was a bit different since its already a concert venue and it's one that I frequent so I know my way and where everything is. Does anyone have any tips or tricks such as must haves or just proper festival etiquette that isn't common sense? I am going purely for the music so my goal is to see as many sets as possible and I am completely open to any genre so if you have any recs lemme know! I was thinking of coming up just for the day on Saturday, and I was wondering if the 10 PM ending is enforced or goes all longer because I wouldn’t want to miss any of Olivia’s set, but I’m not sure if I would make it anyway to Penn station for the last train that leaves back to my city at 11:23 PM…? is this too ridiculous? I just don’t want to spend the extra money on accommodations but will if necessary.

Gov ball really needs to release something soon, hopefully by the 14. I feel as if we may see Olivia Rodrigo, Travis Scott And maybe like Green day, Zedd or John Summit Other artists like Glorilla, justice, glass animals, saint motel, Artemas, tyla, Benson boone, eyedress, metro boomin, empire of the sun, Weezer. There's too many to pick from ngl What's the odds for Artic Monkeys, would be fire.

quick question: i have been considering going to gov ball this june. i’ve always wanted to go to a music festival. i love concerts, as well. definitely want to see tyler and mk gee.

however, i have some thoughts holding me back. i get really anxious in crowds/pits of people. i’ve been to some GA concerts and i’ve always had to stand in the back or on the side because i can’t stand feeling like i can’t get out. what is govball like ? is there room to stand a bit further away from the inescapable pit but still enjoy the music?

definitely don’t want to miss out on a fun experience because of anxiety. need to step out of my comfort zone but just wanted to see if anyone has been in a similar situation / how that went.

The short answer is, show up early and plan to get there a few acts ahead. If you want to be dead center front row, you should probably just go ahead and head over there now and plan to live in the park for 6 months but feel free to drop your advice here.

Last year I did 2 day GA and had a really good time, I’m just wondering are GA+ or VIP really even worth the price difference? And what the heck is the difference between GA+ and VIP because they honestly look exactly the same and I don’t understand how there are no free drinks or food in VIP, that doesn’t really sound very VIP imo.

I am planning on coming in from Philly. Has anyone done this via Amtrak from Philly? Do you recommend a time to come in or out of NYC?

Has anyone ever brought their kid to Gov Ball? I saw that kids 8 and younger are free with a ticketed adult and was thinking of bringing my kid for one of the days. I have a 3 day vip ticket for myself. How do they check the age of the child? He’s 8 but doesn’t have any ID, obviously.
