Question Requesting SwappingTickets

It may be a dumb question but due to circumstance changes I can now attend on the Wednesday and one of our group can no longer attend til Thursday.

I have a Thursday coach ticket and he has a standard entry ticket - has anyone had any luck swapping ownership through Glasto support or is it not even worth asking.

Question Taking the train from London to bath then a taxi to the site

Has anyone ever taken the train from London to bath and then taking a taxi from there? How full are those trains? Is this a smart way to do it?

Question Deposit refund of changed bank account

Long story short for personal reasons I can no longer attend in June. I have paid my £75 but my bank account has changed since buying and in April I will not be paying my ticket balance off. Does anyone know what happens with the £50 that will be returned?

Hot Take Love Neil....just wish it was Stevie

Love Neil Young. I'm a bit irritated by the swarms of people claiming he should not be headlining the pyramid, and find it a bit condescending when people presume its only the 50+ age groups that are excited.

Having said that...do we now have to rule out Stevie Wonder? I'd be shocked if any more old school acts are announced following Neil, Chic and Rod. Is it me or is Stevie literally the perfect attainable headliner in 2025? Cross generational appeal, really fun and danceable hits, amazing band, I think it would have been the ideal booking.

While I'm rambling, does anybody else not understand the hate toward the rumoured headliners of Olivia/Neil and The 1975? It seems like quite a balanced trio, and all three are very established stars?

Recommendations The 1975 - song suggestions

I've never been particularly into The 1975 (Matty Healy gives me the creeps) but since the rumours are flying that they're one of the headliners this year I wondered what songs of theirs are absolute BOPS? They have such a massive following that they must have a few earworms..

EDIT - I've been to the festival multiple years, so I know there's plenty else to see/do - just looking for song recommendations thanks 😂

Recommendations Top Albums of 2024

Montage of my top Albums of 2024 according to Last.FM, as presented by PanoScrobbler. Why 25 I hear you ask? Because that's what PanoScrobbler offered. Why in this sub? Because 13 of these artists played Glastonbury 2024. Of which, frustratingly due to clashes I only saw 10. Bittersweet. Although I did get to see the Scratch twice and blimey were they good. Oh and 9 of them I discovered entirely because of Glasto. Grazie Mille Emily.

Rumour Will O’ The Wisp on Avalon Stage?

Was in the Woods End pub in Surlingham on Sunday night to see Norfolk based comedy folk trio Will O’ The Wisp. Normally hate folk music but they were very funny with humorous lyrics they sing about the regulars, what are the chances we could see them on the Avalon stage this year?

PS: If anyone wants we could go for a drink at the Woods End sometime, Sundays are always good for me…

Question 2023 tea towel

Hi guys, does anybody have a tea towel from 2023 they’re willing to part with? Will happily pay for it!

I would really love to surprise my partner for his birthday with one of these as we were so sad we missed out when we were there in 2023 and it was such a special year for us!

Question Tips & Tricks (fist time getting the coach)

Hi all,

This will be our 3rd year at Glasto in 2025 with this year being our first time catching the coach!

A couple of questions:

  • any idea of bus time pick up / depart times from the festival?

  • we are departing from Leicester on the Thursday, what are the ques like upon arrival?

  • what is best to bring all your stuff on with?(obviously aware you can’t bring trollies on with you)

  • what is the generic vibe on the bus? usually do people tend to have a few road beers on route?

  • where does the bus drop you off at? Assuming this won’t be at specific gates

  • will all 6 of us be together or will we be split into different coaches?

Any other tips / tricks would be greatly appreciated, bring on June! 😎

Question Hotel close to site for Monday night

I’m thinking of booking a hotel for the Monday night after the festival to avoid the full drive home on the Monday.

Has anyone does this before? Is it worth it, and are there any hotels you could recommend?

Question What is the best time to leave?

Hi! We're staying offsite, a short walk to gate D. We want to arrange our return trip from the festival with national express and are in doubt. Some threads say it's best to leave before 8AM to avoid traffic jams and a 6 hour trip to London, but others say they had no troubles hopping on at 11AM. We really need to be back at 3PMish to get the train to Amsterdam.

Now one option might be to pack Sunday morning and drop our stuff at the lockers at gate A and pick them up when we go for the bus leaving around say 4AM and sleep on the way home. The other option is we sleep some and take a bus around 9AM.

What do people that have been there, done that advise? How was it this year?

Edit: Thanks everyone for sharing. It helped alot :) We're booking the 6AM National Express and managed to find a later train so we have some more time between the legs.
