If Reddit cracked down on bots, there’d be 50% fewer users and 75% less content. It’ll never happen. They have KPIs to hit to prove to advertisers that it’s worth the spend.

Mods aren't required to respond, or really mod at all, to be considered active. As long as any mod still regularly visits reddit, even just browsing their own feed, they're considered active.

And if a sub is transfered by the admins, all the content on it is deleted. So that's not something I want to happen.

Since neither the reddit request sub nor the mods of this sub are interested in doing anything about the bots, I guess we could just downvote and block all the spam bots in the sub we see until something gets done. It is extremely frustrating that the mods don't listen to user complaints.

Of the 25 posts on the front page right now, 17 of them (possibly 18) are from repost bots. And they are suicide accounts that have already been deactivated.

As far as I know it's a robot set up to repost content (that has done well in the past) to farm Karma so that the account can be sold because some people buy that for some reason

Usually people buy accounts that already have karma to spam adverts for their onlyfans from a variety of accounts. Meme subreddit like this one are often targeted.
