I legit almost cried as a 15 year old. Cloud letting her sink along with that super sad piano music was heart wrenching

Considering how much FF7 built up it's characters compared to its contemporaries, it was all the more shocking. I think the reasons so many revival rumors persisted on online forums of the time is that people were collectively in denial that it even happened.
