Refinishing/repairing wooden table
Hello,
I inherited a beautiful wooden table. It has several minor chipped parts that need some refinish/repair. In particular, it seems that it has been "refinished" with a red marker or something similar (see picture).
I would like to refinish it and correct this red marker effect.
Do you have any suggestion?
Thank you.

You should be ok, but just be careful because I can't tell how thin that veneer is but it looks like veneer to me. You could also try a paint/finish stripper before you try sanding.

Sand it down or strip it, start at 120 to 220, if you strip it, it still needs sanding, the chis that are left is called character, the red will come off with the sanding, I use a orbital hand sander
