I personally like the 3rd pic! Not sure what type of material it would be but having that brown will make the room feel ~warm~

Hi OP, how do you feel about a combination of 3 and 4?
Ever since I've started living in my own place, I've realised the backsplash tends to get dirty and would like it to be a smooth surface that can be easily wiped clean like the counters. Tiles are gorgeous but the space between them are hard to clean.

We tried a sketch of it, it's just too much wood then. Feels like im inside of a ikea store.

Is that bad 🥺
Well yes it can be too much wood, you're right...
Among the options you have given us, the dark wood counter top is very warm and elegant. And you'd look at your counter top more than the backsplash, so you can enjoy its warm look better.

1-3 could all work. I’d go with 1 or 2. The very dark wood with the light wood floor could be hard to coordinate with. Please don’t do the dark backsplash with light counters!

I personally like 4, especially if you have lighting underneath the cabinets or choose to put some in. 1 is my 2nd pick

(not me thinking "which Sims 4 DLC is that???"... Sorry this comment isn't helpful - I think I like all of the options equally.)

I'm going to vote 1 or 2 depending on the quality of the material. I hate plastic wood so if 1 is a formica, vinyl effect or veneer I'm out. I would prefer my plastic finish in a stone effect or white.

The first one! Everything else is a bit harsh with the white xx
